It is 1 of the triumphal gates of the Russo Japanese War victory commemoration that exists in Japan. 1 is already located in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. This triumphal gate is made of stone, and Hamamatsu's triumphal gate is made of brick. 10 I happened to see the triumphal gate of Hamamatsu a few years ago, and I knew that there was a triumphal gate in Kagoshima, and then I was thinking of going to see it someday, and 10 several years later. It was smaller than I thought, but it seemed to be valued by the locals. (The doll in the parking lot is a little surprised ...
You can see that it is important to celebrate the safe return of your friends. On the other hand, I think it is magnificent as a structure. Even so, the cityscape of this town was beautiful.

The triumphal arch built to commemorate the triumphal return of those who joined the Russo Japanese War from the former Yamada Village. It is a historic building built in 1906 and is designated as a national registered tangible cultural property. Only two of the triumphal gates of the Russo-Japanese War remain nationwide. It is said that 113 people joined the army from the former Yamada Village. It is made using Kagoshima's unique arched stone bridge technology.
Even from a historical background, it is a wonderful gate for Japanese people

The triumphal gate was built to celebrate the safe return of the former Yamada villagers from the Russo-Japanese War. I've seen the Arc de Triomphe as France and Italy, but it was so wonderful that I couldn't lose considering the historical background and value of Japan. It's just a gate.
If you don't know the history, it's just a building. There was a scarecrow near the gate, but it was a mannequin, so it was a little 々 creepy.
