"By chance, I came to Hohhot and searched for the Dazhao Wuliang Temple here. It is the same source as the Beijing Lama Temple, but it is earlier than it! The silver like the bronze dragon mural, it is really beautiful, and I am breathtaking. Finally, I will push it. The fragrant gray glass here is perfect. The price is too high."
Hohhot.Dazhao Temple / Saishang old street
    >100km from Hanggin Banner
Highlights: Ih Juu Temple in downtown Hohhot was built in the 8th year of the Ming Emperor Wanli (1580) by Altan Khan, the leader of the Mongolian Tümed. The temple belongs to the Gelug (or Yellow) School of Tibetan Buddhism. Priceless cultural relics not to be missed on a visit to Ih Juu Temple include a silver statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni, the dragon columns and the colorful wall murals. The pure silver statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni in the temple’s main hall weighs 1,500kg. Immediately in front of the Buddha Sakyamuni are two golden dragons entwined around the columns, aptly named the Dragon Columns. Because the murals were painted with mineral-based colors, the colors remain bright and vibrant even today. The murals’ content is mostly classical stories from Buddhist scripture.

"If you have ever been touched by the film filmed here, come and feel it for yourself. It just feels that the interaction here is average, and the service facilities are also average, that is, taking pictures and punching in. After a while, young people are not familiar with these repertoires, so they will not attract it. There happened to be a camera crew shooting the online drama, adding some fun. There is an immersive experience town that opened in the evening nearby. It feels like a good itinerary supplement. The performance is very moving and there are many interactions. Don't be afraid of many people, the atmosphere is good."
    Yinchuan.Zhenbeipu Western Movie City Resort
    >100km from Hanggin Banner
Highlights: Zhenbeibao Western Cinema is located in Xixia District, Yinchuan City. In this studio, which is characterized by simplicity, roughness and desolation, classic films such as "Wrangler", "Red Sorghum", "Journey to the West", "Thorn Mausoleum", "Jin Yiwei" and hundreds of influential film and television films were filmed. In the remaining part, a large number of celebrities from the Chinese film industry have left their footprints here, such as Gong Li, Jiang Wen, Zhang Yimou, Ge You, Zhou Xingchi, Donnie Yen and so on. The cinema consists of three parts: Mingcheng, Qingcheng and Old Yinchuan Street. Tourists can visit the cinema along the "figure 8" route of Old Yinchuan Street. Here, you can see the appearance of Yinchuan in the first half of the 20th century, and eat local traditional snacks such as mutton soup. The Ming and Qing cities in the film city were rebuilt from the military castles left over from the Ming and Qing dynasties. In the Ming and Qing cities, you can see many familiar movie scenes, such as: the gate tower where Sun Wukong and Fairy Zixia are standing in "Journey to the West", the throne of the Bull Demon King, the torture platform of the Tang monk; and the movie "Journey to the West" The Moon Gate in "Red Sorghum", the winemaking workshop where "My Grandpa" urinated after being drunk, the sedan chair that Jiu'er took when he got married, the big vat for wine, and the bowls. There are costumes and props for rent in many places in the studio. Here, you can wear a set of costumes in the play, use the props in the movie, and walk around the scenes of the movie to live the addiction of being a star. Before going to Zhenbeibao Western Studios, you can revisit a few classic movies first, and then go to visit, you will have a different feeling.

"The water cave ditch scenic spot is mainly a Paleolithic site. However, when displayed in the museum, the water cave ditch represents that there are insufficient human activities in the Asian region. However, the outdoor site part is still very shocking, and it will be better if the explanation is more detailed and popular. It is just that the knowledge needs to be improved, but the natural scenery such as the green veil tent in the ditch and the Ming Great Wall are beautiful and have a desolate and luxurious feeling."

Highlights: Shuidonggou is a Paleolithic cultural site excavated in China. It is known as "the birthplace of Chinese prehistoric archeology" and "historical witness of cultural exchanges between China and the West." It is a national key cultural relic protection unit, a national AAAAA tourist attraction, and a national geological park. It is listed by the state as one of the 100 major sites under national cultural relic protection and one of the "100 archaeological discoveries of great significance to Chinese civilization". The Shuidonggou site records the historical testimony of ancient humans' reproduction and struggle with nature, and contains rich and precious prehistoric information. It shows people a picture of the survival of ancient humans 40,000 years ago. It is the Paleolithic Age site that has been officially excavated in the Yellow River area in my country so far. In 1923, French paleontologists Teilhard de Chardin and Sang Zhihua discovered prehistoric cultural sites here. Through excavation, a large number of stone tools and animal fossils were unearthed. Therefore, Shuidonggou became the ancient human cultural site of the Paleolithic Age in my country. Now, after more than 80 years and six archaeological excavations, more than 30,000 stone tools and 67 ancient animal fossils have been unearthed in Shuidonggou. The Shuidonggou area is also home to the ancient Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty in northern my country, the "Hengcheng Dabian", beacon piers, city barriers, Tibetan caves, etc., which constitute the Grand View Garden of well-preserved military defense buildings in China. Shuidonggou is located on the southern edge of the Ordos Platform. The Yadan landform created by nature has experienced tens of millions of years of wind and sand sculptures. It is also home to 20 places such as Devil's City, Wotuo Ridge, Motian Cliff, Duanyun Valley, and Tamaliu Valley. There are many unique landscapes in the forest.

"The scenic spot is very large, but there are not many tourists today. The bus in the scenic spot leaves the bus, and it is not necessary to wait a long time. The supporting facilities of the scenic spot are very good, the staff are also very enthusiastic and have a good experience."

    >100km from Hanggin Banner
Highlights: The Western Xia Mausoleums are a complex of tombs located in the western suburbs of Yinchuan City at the foot of the Helan Mountains. These are the imperial tombs of the Western Xia Dynasty (1038-1227) and many emperors are buried here alongside their family members. The entire mausoleum complex holds the graves of nine emperors along with 140 accompanying tombs. The shape of the Western Xia Tombs are shaped differently from those of other imperial Chinese tombs and tomb clusters. Structurally, they resemble a piece of cornmeal "wotou" bread or a sharp-sided domed pyramid. The scenic area also has built a museum dedicated to the Western Xia Dynasty complete with exhibits on art and history of the Western Xia and an array of carved stone steles from that period. The museum hosts an abundance of imperial relics of the Western Xia. Museum docents are delighted to share all they know and will happily assist visitors in understanding more about the rise and fall of the Western Xia and their mysterious, fascinating culture and customs.
