Fairy Lake attraction is located in Xinyu, Jiangxi. It is a renowned national-level scenic area and a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, as well as the widely recognized birthplace of China's Qixi culture. It enjoys the reputation of being the "hometown of China's seven fairies legend." The lake area features crystal-clear waters embracing numerous islands, lush forests, and extremely high vegetation coverage. Its serene and elegant landscape makes it an ideal destination for leisure, wellness, and romantic getaways for couples. The attraction spans 198 km² in total, with a water area of 50 km², divided into three main scenic sections: Dragon Dance Lake, Zhongshan Gorge and Qianyang Lake. Ninety-nine islets dot the lake, while over sixty winding bays create ever-changing vistas of secluded beauty. Dragon Dance Lake serves as the core zone, featuring intricate waterways and picturesque landscapes. It includes three romantic themed islands—Immortal Feather Island, Qixi Festival Island and Lovers' Island—along with Dragon King Island (Spirit Monkey Island) for panoramic views. A 34 km lakeside greenway winds along the shore, dotted with free romantic photo spots and complemented by aquatic clubs for enriched experiences. Boating or strolling through these landscapes evokes awe: such scenery seems heaven-sent, a rare find in the mortal realm! A serene Fairy Lake carries a millennium-spanning romance between celestial beings and mortals, where first encounters feel like reunions after long partings. The tale of the feathered-robe fairy descending to bathe and play, as recorded in Gan Bao's "In Search of the Supernatural" from the Eastern Jin Dynasty, originated here—a story where the fairy and her mortal lover knew and cherished each other, composing an enduring chapter of moving love. Since then, these lakes and mountains have transformed into the world's unique sanctuary of romance, with every hill and stream whispering tender emotions that speak of joyous meetings and sorrowful farewells. Rooted in this ancient legend, Fairy Lake has been officially recognized as "The Hometown of China's Seven Fairies Legend" and stands as the cultural origin of the Chinese Qixi Valentine's Day. ‌‌

Since we're already here—Xinyu doesn't have many other attractions, this is the most famous and most visited spot. Aside from the three boat trips, the walking and hiking time within the scenic area is only about an hour. The scenery of the islands and lakes is decent, but the ticket price is significantly higher compared to other scenic spots in Jiangxi.

Experience the Fairy Lake Qixi Cultural Tourism Resort Romance greets you upon entering the Fairy Lake Qixi Cultural Tourism Resort. Famous for the legend of the "Sweater Girl Descending to Earth," it's a core area of Qixi culture. Ninety-nine islands dot the landscapes of lakes and mountains, and a boat tour offers a poetic and leisurely journey into a fairyland. The resort incorporates romantic elements throughout, with romantic attractions like the Fairy Heart Ferris Wheel, the fluorescent cycling greenway, and the 520 floating tent campsite, attracting many couples. The Qixi Old Street is even more quaint, with its ornate, illuminated eaves and horse-head walls, evoking the love story of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. Additionally, enjoy a variety of activities, such as staying in a fairytale cabin at the Tree Frog Tribe and immersing yourself in the artistic charm of the Jiangkou Power Plant Art and Creative Zone. As for dining, the Jiangxi and Hunan cuisine, featuring fish products, will delight every palate. Overall, Fairy Lake Qixi Cultural Tourism Resort is a great place for couples to relax and families to vacation, allowing people to experience the unique charm of Qixi culture in the beautiful scenery and romantic atmosphere.

The town is not big and can be visited in about an hour on foot. There are many places to take photos, and it is better to wear Hanfu to take photos. There are performances and lights at night, which will be more beautiful. The consumption in the scenic area is good, and the prices are basically normal, which is within an understandable range.

If you haven't been, you should definitely check it out. Compared to Longgong Cave, it's a bit smaller. It took about an hour to explore, and the entrance was quite impressive. The small bridge over Shenniu Cave is quite cute. I read the reviews last time saying to bring clothes, but that's completely unnecessary. The cave isn't cold in the summer, though it can be a bit stuffy in some places.

His life is recorded, including his family and his works. Although he has passed away, his children have answers in the exhibition hall. Entering the exhibition hall, one has to admire his painting talent. Every painting is shocking to the world. It is really called a work of art. Now the exhibition hall displays simulations, and most of the authentic works are in domestic museums. Yangtiangang National Forest is one of the more famous attractions in Xinyu City. Go west on Xinyu Xianlai West Avenue. There are many street lights here. I rode very slowly at night to get there. Further ahead is Kaiguang Xintiandi Tourist Resort. If you have time, you can come here to climb the mountain. It is also nice to overlook the city view of Xinyu from the mountain.
