Ginkgo Viewing in Shanghai

Ginkgo Viewing in Shanghai

6.5
In autumn in Shanghai, ginkgo trees dress the city in golden glory. Every late autumn, ginkgo leaves transform into golden "little fans", hanging on branches, dancing with the wind, and decorating streets and parks. The thousand-year-old ginkgo in Fuquan Ancient Temple (Shanghai Ancient Tree No. 0002) and Shanghai's "Tree King" (Ancient Tree No. 0001) planted in the Tang Dynasty in Anting Ancient Tree Park are both over a thousand years old and should not be missed. The Ginkgo Avenue in Zhongshan Park is also unique. The sun shines through the sparse branches and leaves, casting mottled light and shadows on the ground, adding a bit of comfort to people walking and resting. In addition to these well-known apricot viewing spots, many communities and campuses in Shanghai also have ginkgo surprises. When the breeze blows, the golden leaves fall, like a romantic "gingkgo rain". In this fast-paced city, the beauty of ginkgo brings a moment of tranquility and poetry to busy people, allowing people to immerse themselves in the unique tenderness and beauty of autumn in Shanghai.China · Shanghai

The scenic spot is located in Qidong City. The scenic spot was built in 1998 and is located on the north side of the Haikou of the Yangtze River. It is a large freshwater wetland reserve in my country (with an area of 477.3 square kilometers). The Yangtze River into the Sea Monument is an earlier building in the scenic area. It was built in 1998 and covers an area of 1,500 square meters. The whole body of the monument is in the shape of a boat, facing the east, which is dynamic. The Stone Statue of Dayu, located in the middle of the scenic area, is 19.99 meters high and covers an area of 1,800 square meters. The whole statue is thick and simple. Yinyang Tower is located outside the seawall in the northeast corner of the scenic area. Climbing the tower can enjoy the magnificent sunrise over the sea and the magnificent sunset over the Yangtze River. The man-made lake covers an area of 54,500 square meters. The large lake surrounds the base of the statue of Dayu, with rippling blue waves and yachts passing through. It is a one-stop leisure place for tourists to eat, live, play and have fun; the square pavilion corridor, the long water pavilion, and the glazed tile roof are all modern garden buildings, which are very beautiful and integrate the essence of garden architecture. There is also a large lawn of 15,000 square meters, with green grass and flowers and trees, providing an activity venue full of nature for people who have lived in the bustling city for a long time.Qidong · 27.5km from downtown

The Bund

157.1k reviews
The Bund is located along the Huangpu River, stretching approx. 1.5 km in length. As a symbolic attraction of Shanghai, it features a diverse collection of international architectural styles and the stunning night view of the Huangpu River as its highlights. The Bund stands with dozens of classical revival buildings in diverse styles, including the renowned Bank of China building, Shanghai Peace Hotel, Customs House, and HSBC building, recreating the former glory of the "Wall Street of the Far East." Surprisingly, these structures were neither designed by the same architect nor built in the same period, yet they possess a unique harmonious beauty. The Bund showcases various architectural styles, such as French classical, French chateau, and Gothic, which are significant historical sites and representative buildings of modern China, forming a stunning scenic line along the Huangpu River. As night falls, the neon lights on both banks illuminate the sky. Board a Huangpu River cruise or ferry and glide along the river, feeling the gentle breeze. On one side is The Bund, a witness to historical development, while on the other stands Lujiazui, Shanghai's modern landmark. The graceful silhouette of Waibaidu Bridge offers a fresh perspective to admire the beauty of this vibrant metropolis.Shanghai · 65.9km from Qidong

West Lake

West Lake

10
4.7/5
37.4k reviews
West Lake is undoubtedly the epitome of Hangzhou's beauty. The famous "Ten scenes of West Lake" surround its shores, where nature and culture complement each other, forming the core area of Hangzhou tourism. You don't need to visit every attraction - instead, spend half a day or a full day strolling along the lake. However you choose to enjoy it, the experience will surely lift your spirits. West Lake is the core attraction of Hangzhou, surrounded by clouds and mountains on three sides and the city on one side. The Su Causeway and Bai Causeway stretch across the lake, dividing it into several water areas. The lakeside scenery is highlighted by the "Ten Scenes of West Lake" from the Southern Song Dynasty, along with the later "New Ten Scenes" and "Three Additional Scenes," featuring over a hundred attractions along the shore and mountains. Pavilions, temples, pagodas, gardens, causeways, and islands complement the distant mountains and nearby waters, while legends like the Broken Bridge where Lady White Snake met Xu Xian add a layer of storytelling to the landscape. West Lake extends east from Songmuchang in Hangzhou and the north of Baolu Road turning to Shaoniangong Square, passing Baisha Road, Huancheng West Road, Hubin Road, and Nanshan Road to the south of Wansong Ridge, covering all attractions including Wu Mountain, Ziyang Mountain, and Yunju Mountain. To the south, it stretches from Gulou along the eastern foothills of Wu Mountain, Ziyang Mountain, and Yunju Mountain, passing Fengshanmen and Fenghuangshan Road, then following the West Lake water diversion channel to the north bank of the Qiantang River, turning to the Coral Sand Reservoir and ending north of Liufangling. To the west, it runs from Liufangling, Zhugan Mountain, Jiuqu Ridge, and Mingren Ridge to Meiren Peak, Beigaofeng, Lingfeng Mountain, and east of the ridge line of Laohe Mountain. To the north, it follows the foothills of Laohe Mountain (west wall of Zhejiang University), turns 30 m north of Qingzhiwu Road, connects to Yugu Road, Zhejiang University Road, and Shuguang Road, ending south of Songmuchang. West Lake has over 100 attractions, renowned for its "Ten scenes of West Lake", "New ten scenes of West Lake" and "Three reviews · Ten scenes of West Lake". West Lake overview You can explore West Lake on foot, by cruise, on electric bikes, via self-drive, or by riding. Among these, electric bikes are the most convenient and effortless option, with hop-on-hop-off sightseeing vehicles circling the entire lake. Riding along the lakeshore is romantic and leisurely, with many public bike rental spots available. For a boat tour, there are nearly 10 docks around the lake offering various vessels and routes. We highly recommend taking a cruise to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon at the lake center while enjoying the scenic views. Alternatively, you can hail a hand-rowed boat for a more flexible experience with a boatman guiding your tour. North line scenery The north shore of West Lake gathers quite a few attractions, usually starting from the remnant snow on broken bridge at the northeast corner and heading west all the way to Yuewang Temple. You can walk along Bai Causeway to Solitary Hill, visiting cultural attractions like Xiling Seal Engravers' Society, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Chinese Seal Art Museum, and Zhongshan Park's Crane Pavilion. Enjoy authentic West Lake vinegar fish at Louwailou Restaurant, then cross Xiling Bridge to leave the island - Yuewang Temple and Breeze-ruffled lotus at Quyuan Garden are just a short distance away. If it's a summer day with strong sunlight, it is recommended to stroll along Beishan road, hiding under the dense shade of trees to admire the curve of Broken bridge and the swaying weeping willows on Bai causeway opposite. There are many entrances along the way leading to Precious stone hill, where you can hike for views, and descend to reach Yuewang temple. Yuewang square has many small shops for snacks, and the Impression West Lake show here in the evening is also worth watching. If you have ample time and energy, you can also head to Su causeway from here for a walk to enjoy the panoramic view of West Lake. Southeast coast (Lakeside-Nanshan Road) Another area with a concentration of attractions is the Hubin Road-Nanshan Road along the southeastern coast. Hubin Road is located at the junction between Hangzhou's urban area and the attraction, offering views of West Lake, a dock for West Lake cruises, and the iconic music fountain. The advantage of Hubin Road is its quick access from the attraction to the downtown business district, making it suitable for travelers with a tight itinerary to make a short stop. Head south from Hubin road and walk along Nanshan road, where you can visit attractions like Orioles singing in the willows, Long bridge, Leifeng pagoda, Evening bell at Nanping hill, and Viewing fish at flower harbor. The distance between adjacent attractions is not far, so you can walk or take a sightseeing bus or public transport, which are also convenient. You can arrange a day to visit a few of them according to your preference. Among them, Leifeng pagoda and Evening bell at Nanping hill can be visited in the evening. Listening to the bell at Jingci temple and overlooking the night view of West lake from Leifeng pagoda are both great experiences.China · Hangzhou

I went on August 2nd. There were no Dragon Ball activities, but the Dragon King would appear on the beach around 10 am. It was too hot, so I could only watch them head to the beach and didn't get to experience it myself. The photos were taken in May of this year; the weather was perfect, and the haul was good. If you're bringing children, I recommend wearing beachcombing gear.

There weren't many visitors; in just over two hours, I saw fewer than 100 tourists. The only performance was a lantern parade; the performance areas were empty, just lights and props, no performances, no tourists. Perhaps there will be more performances during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays when there are more people!

Yuantuojiao Scenic Area is located in the southeast corner of Yinyang Town, Qidong District, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, marking the easternmost point of Jiangsu Province. • Geographical Location: Sunrise can be seen here at 5:00 AM, about an hour earlier than other places, hence the name "Yinyang." From Yuantuojiao, the vast Yangtze River meets the sea, and the East China Sea and Yellow Sea also separate here, creating a spectacular confluence of three waters. • Historical Evolution: The scenic area was established in 1998. In November 2013, the Nantong Municipal People's Government approved the establishment of the Qidong Yuantuojiao Municipal Tourism Resort, with a planned area of 33 square kilometers. • Key Attractions: The Yangtze River Merges into the Sea Monument, built in 1998, is shaped like a ship, symbolizing the Yangtze River's journey from its source to the sea. There's also China's largest stone statue of Yu the Great, standing 19.99 meters tall, located in the central part of the scenic area. Yinyang Tower, located outside the seawall in the northeast corner of the scenic area, offers stunning views of the sunrise over the sea and the sunset over the Yangtze River. • Tourist Attractions: This area is a renowned sunrise viewing spot in the Yangtze River Delta region. The newly built 360-degree panoramic glass viewing platform offers visitors a panoramic view of the magnificent confluence of the river and the sea. The scenic area also boasts a 3-kilometer-long golden sandy beach, with newly introduced activities like beach volleyball and kite surfing, and evening bonfire parties. • Ecological Environment: The scenic area includes a 2,000-acre wetland park, traversed by a 5-kilometer-long wooden boardwalk, where visitors can spot flocks of egrets and herons foraging on the mudflats. The scenic area has also established a bird monitoring station, which has recorded 186 bird species so far, including 28 nationally protected bird species.

Overall it's good. When we went there, four of the five countries were open, and the kids were a little disappointed 😔 There are many fallen leaves in the hot springs, and the precipitated dust is not cleaned up in time Each children's play pool is supervised by staff, which is worthy of praise In addition, the food is not expensive but the variety is a little less Finally, I would like to comment on technician No. 88, the massage is so comfortable I will probably go again, after all, it's very close to Shanghai!

It's a great place for a leisurely stroll, where you can discover new species at your own pace. It's perfect for those who love breathing in the fresh air of a forest, enjoy the plants, and are pet lovers. There are also amusement areas, though they're a bit "retro." There's even a marriage registration office and a wedding lawn 😂. Personally, I think if you just want to relax and unwind without leaving Shanghai, you could stay at a hotel across from the park for two days, wake up naturally, and then stroll through the park.

The rides and display in Disneyland was no doubt magical. However, the queues were long and I would suggest for people to get the priority pass for at least the tron and seven dwarf rides as the queues are insane.

This was my first time trying this style of dressing up for a meal and watching a show, and it was quite novel. It was fun and interesting, but if you're looking for a quiet meal, don't try it! 🤪 Overall, it was pretty good.

My second visit to West Lake was great; the boat tour was excellent. The dock was easy to find, the staff were very friendly, provided clear explanations, and helped with any issues. There were also sightseeing buses, which were nice but a bit pricey. Taking the boat tour and then walking around was both perfectly fine.
