Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is located in the temperate rainforest of North Vancouver, and its centerpiece is a pedestrian suspension bridge spanning the Capilano River canyon. The bridge is approximately 137 m long and hangs about 70 m above the river. It was originally built in 1889 by Scottish civil engineer George Grant Mackay using hemp rope and cedar planks, and after several reinforcements and renovations, it is now supported by a steel cable structure. Stepping onto the bridge, with the rushing river and lush canyon vegetation below, the bridge sways gently in the wind; as you cross, you can take in the full view of the river valley and gaze at the towering ancient trees on both banks. Beyond the bridge itself, the park offers two distinctive experiences. Treetops Adventure is made up of a series of small suspension bridges suspended among the treetops dozens of meters above the ground, letting visitors move through the upper rainforest from a squirrel's-eye view. The Cliffwalk extends outward along a granite cliff, clinging to the rock face with a cantilevered structure; some sections use open grating floors, with the deep canyon directly below, creating a strong sense of thrill. The park also features an Indigenous cultural display area, Kia'palano, where totem poles created by First Nations carvers stand, and interpretive panels and guide presentations introduce the deep connection between local Indigenous peoples and this land. Within the park, the suspension bridge, Treetops Adventure, and Cliffwalk can all be linked on foot, and the overall visit takes about two to three hours.Canada · North Vancouver

Decorations were on point but the overall experience was pretty lacklustre. Nothing particularly interesting about the Capilano Suspension Bridge - it’s just a bridge and a park. Wouldn’t say it’s very value-for-money.

Strolling beneath the white sail-shaped roofs of Canada Place, I felt like I was sailing in the harbor! The five-sail building reflecting the shimmering waters of the bay was so stunning that I couldn't help but snap a dozen photos from different angles. Walking along the wooden walkway, watching seaplanes take off and land and seagulls fight over fries was truly captivating. I also stopped by the FlyOver Canada experience center, where the 4D flight simulator over the snow-capped mountains was incredibly realistic! The evening sun painted the harbor a molten hue. I sat on the steps, munching on ice cream and watching the cruise ships arrive and depart, lost in thought for an hour. My only complaint was the strong wind that tangled my hair—but that's Vancouver's effortless charm, huh?

Many hotels flaunt their "high-end" status, but this one hides its "thoughtfulness" in every unseen corner. The corridor carpet is short-pile, making no sound underfoot and ensuring guests in the adjacent rooms aren't disturbed. The glasses in the rooms are placed upside down on clean cotton mats, not in cheap plastic sleeves, and have a faint, sterilized scent. The minibar drinks don't feature expensive imported brands, but rather refreshing local beverages, all free of charge with no hidden costs. In the morning, sitting on the terrace, the air is filled with the fragrance of grass and trees, and complimentary cool boiled water is on a small table, each cup covered with a small dust cap. There are no grand surprises, but every detail is meticulously crafted, understated yet instantly warming your heart. This is a hotel that truly understands the meaning of accommodation.

This was an incredible experience! The views eating lunch at the top were amazing. Looking down over the lake and mountain ranges. The suspension bridge was incredible! This is a must do experience. There is a cafe with grab and go items and a restaurant at the top. There are shops both at the top and bottom of the gondola with fun items! The ride isn't for those with height fears as the gondola does jerk and shift throughout the ride. The hike might be more height fear friendly.its nice trip
