The Most Beautiful Ningguo Section of the Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Route is a self-drive scenic route that traverses the mountainous areas of Ningguo, Anhui, and is also the eastern section of the entire Southern Anhui Sichuan-Tibet Route. The S345 Beautiful Highway project is approx. 67 km long. The road enters the mountains from Qinglong Township, winding westward along valleys and ridges, connecting Chujiatan Beach, Dragon Beach, the Fangtang Redwood Forest, and the Banqiao Primitive Forest. The scenery along the route has its own unique features. Chujiatan Beach is a clear water bay in Qinglong Township, where lush forests and bamboo are reflected in the water, earning it the nickname Little Guilin of Southern Anhui. Dragon Beach is a reservoir lake surrounded by mountains, with a water area of 32.8 square kilometers and islands of various sizes scattered throughout. Traveling to Fangtang Township, over 2,000 mu of bald cypress trees are rooted in the water, growing into a water forest, which is what tourists often call the redwood forest. It is lush green in summer and turns red in late fall, with the viewing period from mid-November to early December. Further west, the Banqiao area is a primitive forest reserve covering 63 square kilometers, dense with bamboo forests and ancient trees, with a winding and undulating road surface. Tourists can take a self-drive tour through the mountainous scenic road, view the Fangtang Redwood Forest water forest, and visit Chujiatan Beach and Dragon Beach along the way. Farmhouses and homestays are distributed in the villages and towns along the route, providing places to rest and resupply.Xuancheng · 25.1km from Ningguo

West Lake Scenic Area is the core of Hangzhou's landscape, surrounded by mountains on three sides and the city on the other. The Su Causeway and Bai Causeway stretch across the lake, dividing it into several smaller sections. The most exquisite sights around the lake are undoubtedly the "Ten Scenes of West Lake" passed down from the Southern Song Dynasty. Including the later "New Ten Scenes of West Lake" and the "Three Appraisals of the Ten Scenes of West Lake," hundreds of scenic spots unfold along the lakeshore and mountains. Pavilions, temples, pagodas, gardens, islands, and distant mountains and nearby waters complement each other. The legend of the Broken Bridge, where the White Snake and Xu Xian met, adds a touch of history to the lake and mountains. There's no need to insist on visiting every single spot; simply strolling along a stretch of the lakeshore is enough to bring you bliss. You can explore West Lake by walking, cycling, taking a sightseeing electric cart around the lake, or by boat. The electric cart route circles the entire lake, saving you energy and making it convenient. cycling along the lake is leisurely and romantic, and there are many public bicycle rental points along the shore. If you want to take a boat, there are several docks along the lake offering different types of boats and routes. It is highly recommended to take a boat to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon in the center of the lake and enjoy the lake views from the boat. Alternatively, you can hire a rowboat on the lake shore and have a boatman row you around the lake, which is more free and flexible. The attractions on the north bank are concentrated. A typical starting point is the Broken Bridge in the northeast corner, walking along the Bai Causeway to Gushan Island. Along the way, you can see cultural landmarks such as the Xiling Seal Society, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, China Seal Art Museum, and the Fanghe Pavilion in Zhongshan Park. Enjoy a bowl of authentic West Lake Vinegar Fish at Lou Wai Lou restaurant, then cross the Xiling Bridge to Yue Fei Temple and Quyuan Fenghe. In the summer, when the sun is strong, consider taking the North Mountain Road instead, finding shade under the dense trees to admire the curves of the Broken Bridge and the swaying willows on the Bai Causeway. There are many entrances along the way to Baoshi Mountain for panoramic views. The "Most Memorable is Hangzhou" live performance on Yue Lake in the evening is also worth seeing. If you have enough time and energy, you can also walk along the Su Causeway from the Yue Fei Temple area for a complete walk and a panoramic view of West Lake. The area along the southeastern shore, from Hubin Road to Nanshan Road, is another densely populated area of attractions. Hubin Road is located at the junction of the city center and the attraction area, adjacent to the city's commercial district, making it suitable for tourists with limited time to stop briefly. The lakeside also features a landmark musical fountain and a cruise dock. Walking south along Nanshan Road from Hubin Road, you'll find attractions like Liulang Wenying (Listening to Orioles Singing in the Willows), the Long Bridge, Leifeng Pagoda, and Nanping Evening Bell, all lined up along the way. Further west is Huagang Guanyu (Viewing Fish at Flower Harbor). It's convenient to walk or take a tour bus between these adjacent attractions, allowing you to choose which ones to visit based on your preferences. Leifeng Pagoda and Nanping Evening Bell are best visited in the evening; listening to the bell at Jingci Temple and climbing Leifeng Pagoda to overlook the lake and mountains at dusk are both excellent experiences.China · Hangzhou

The Ningguo section of the "Sichuan-Tibet Highway" in southern Anhui combines the scenic beauty of Guilin in Guangxi, the wonder of the Stone Forest in Yunnan, and the ruggedness of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway (National Highway 318), making it a highly recommended self-driving route in East China. Winding through verdant mountains and clear waters, it connects numerous scenic spots, creating an immersive experience where "the car travels on the road, and the driver is immersed in a painting." In autumn and winter, the fir forests turn red, creating a stunning spectacle that complements the water features, and boat tours are available.

Five stars! The scenery is stunning. Although it's a bit monotonous and boring, there are few people, so you can enjoy the view all to yourself. The straw-cooked rice at the pier is also delicious. It's a great place to visit quietly without kids.

It's best to arrive early, before 8:00 or 8:30 am. After rain, there's mist on the mountaintops and water features. Arriving earlier will also create a beautiful misty effect on the water. The price isn't very reasonable; an electric boat ride costs 128 yuan per person.

Self-driving tour, as the most beautiful scenery on the Sichuan-Tibet line in southern Anhui, is worth a visit! The Fallen Feather Wetland Park in late autumn will brighten your eyes, and every place is a popular check-in spot for taking photos! The vast redwood forest gives people endless reverie; the red redwood trees by the lake give people passion and unrestrainedness; the reflection of the Metasequoia in the depths of the lake makes people reluctant to leave and hope that time will stop; the tourists relaxing by the lake make you feel the real joy of traveling! The walkway in the lake can be said to be a view as soon as you turn around, but I only regret that the camera is not G enough! Haha, the scenery is dazzling under the sun, which makes people excited and beautiful! Come on! This is a happy trip without regrets!

Arrived at Chujiatan, the first stop of the Sichuan-Tibet Line in southern Anhui, in the evening of 2022/10/29. There were very few people, probably because of the epidemic control. The scenery was beautiful. We camped here for one night, and there were many ✨ at night, but unfortunately the mobile phone could not take good pictures.

The scenery is highly seasonal. It is best around November 20 this year, and the 5 days before and after are the best period. It is best to avoid weekends because of severe traffic jams. The highlight is the bald redwood forest, which is very beautiful, but there is no beautiful scenery after the season.

The environment here is relatively primitive, and the Sky Mirror is nice! You can bring the elderly and children here to play. If there is enough rain, the waterfall will be more beautiful! There are famous hotels around, the food is delicious and the price is affordable. Suitable for self-driving tours.

My second visit to West Lake was great; the boat tour was excellent. The dock was easy to find, the staff were very friendly, provided clear explanations, and helped with any issues. There were also sightseeing buses, which were nice but a bit pricey. Taking the boat tour and then walking around was both perfectly fine.
