Inuyama Castle

Inuyama Castle was built during the Muromachi Shogunate period. It is located on a small hill next to the Kiso River and is also known as Baidi Castle. This name is not unfamiliar to Chinese travelers, and the namer is indeed reminiscent of the poem "Early Departure from Baidi Castle" written by Li Bai. The Inuyama Castle Tower is one of the twelve existing ancient castle towers in Japan, and its style is relatively old. It is known as the "Four National Treasure Castles of Japan" together with Himeji Castle, Matsumoto Castle, and Hikone Castle. It has 3 floors on the outside, 4 floors inside, and 2 floors underground, which is rare among the castle towers in Japan. Of course, these floors are open to visitors, and travelers can view various architectural structures of the city underground. On the top floor, the 4th floor, you can also walk to the outdoor corridor to enjoy the scenery. Every Thursday, you can also watch the tour of the Aichi Prefecture's Warring States Princess Team for free, which is somewhat similar to the Nagoya Castle's general team and is still worth seeing. Inuyama Castle was built in 1537 by Oda Nobuyasu, the uncle of Oda Nobunaga. It is located on the border of Owari (Aichi Prefecture) and Mino (Gifu Prefecture). It has been a key point for conquering the world since the Warring States Period, and the lord of the castle has changed frequently. During the Battle of Komaki and Nagakute (1584), Toyotomi Hideyoshi led an army of 120,000 into the castle and had a showdown with Tokugawa Ieyasu who used Komakiyama Castle as his base. In the Edo Period (1603-1868), Naruse Masashige, the head of the Owari domain's retainers, became the lord of the castle until the end of the shogunate. However, due to the abolition of domains and establishment of prefectures during the Meiji Restoration (1868), the castle became the property of Aichi Prefecture. However, due to the Nobi earthquake in 1891, half of the castle was damaged, and the castle became the property of the Naruse family again on the condition of restoration. It was a privately owned castle until 2004, when it was taken over by a foundation.Inuyama · 17.6km from Mino

This is a well-known pond by word of mouth. The unnamed pond is commonly known as Monet's pond. The beautiful water lilies bloom in the clear spring water, and the koi swim gracefully in the pond, as if it were the scenery in Monet's masterpiece "Water Lilies". The scene when the water lilies are in full bloom in early summer is amazing!Seki · 14.2km from Mino

Gifu Castle, which stands on the rock at the top of Mount Jinhua, is easy to defend and difficult to attack. It took Oda Nobunaga more than ten years to travel from Nagoya to Gifu (then called Inabayama Castle). Therefore, after the capture of Gifu, Nobunaga couldn't wait to move the city here, and changed its name to Gifu after King Wen of Zhou Fengming Qishan as an allusion; This is the starting point of Nobunaga's military deployment in the world, a historical freezing point that cannot be missed. The present Gifu Castle is a 3-story 4-story castle rebuilt in 1956. There is a historical exhibition room in the castle and an observation deck upstairs. From the observation deck, you can overlook the Nagara River and the rolling mountains to the north. You can also enjoy the beautiful night view from the observation deck.Gifu City · 16.8km from Mino

This is a very cost-effective attraction, suitable for a day trip or staying overnight nearby. It's about a 15-minute walk from Inuyama Yuen Station. You can climb the castle tower and overlook the beautiful scenery of Inuyama City. It's quite pleasant. You can find food in the Inuyama Castle Town next to it.

Monet's Pond, a popular attraction on social media, became a shade unexpectedly. Why is it said to be an unexpected shade? Originally, it was just a reservoir used by locals to store spring water. Under the care and management of caring people, and with the perfect combination of local residents releasing their own koi into the pond, it has become a real version of Monet's famous painting of water lilies. Due to its high resemblance to the famous painting, it has attracted many tourists in recent years, making this small reservoir empty and crowded. It is not good to look at on rainy days, so please be careful.

Among the top 100 Japanese castles, the eye-catching Gifu Castle is ranked 39th. Gifu Castle's castle tower is famous for Saito Hall and Oda Nobunaga's snow-white castle. It is located on Kinka Mountain at an altitude of 329 meters. It was rebuilt with reinforced concrete in 1956. Although it lacks the original historical flavor, the park is well planned. You can also take a cable car to the mountain, which is quite convenient. The relics of Oda Nobunaga's time are well organized and preserved. You can see the Japanese Alps in the north and the vast Nobi Plain in the south. The castle occupies a commanding height and overlooks the hinterland of Gifu. The winding Nagara River is also in sight. ~

Nice park, a lot of entertainment, but we happened to go on a Sunday and it was extremely crowded. An upside is that you can buy a pass, which is rather affordable, and it can help you experience more in one day. We bought passes for 2 attractions, and even with them were not able to attend everything, which was a pity, cause we spent most of the day queuing. I guess the situation is different on weekdays.

Shibuya Sky – Amazing Night Views of TokyoWe were glad we booked the evening session at Shibuya Sky, as we had already enjoyed the daytime views from Tokyo Skytree. Seeing Tokyo illuminated at night was amazing, and luckily, the weather was kind to us!One of my favourite spots was the Sky Stage's net hammock area, which was so peaceful and relaxing. We had a wonderful time taking in the beautiful city views and enjoying the atmosphere. We arrived early because we weren't sure how busy the queues would be, which turned out to be a good decision. The only thing I wish for is more shops and interesting places to explore within the building. There weren't as many shopping options as we had hoped. Hopefully, more exciting shops and attractions will be added in the future.Overall, Shibuya Sky is definitely worth visiting, especially at night. The spectacular views and relaxing atmosphere made it a memorable experience for us!
