Songkou Town, Meixian District, Meizhou City is located in the northeast of Meixian District, in the lower reaches of the Meijiang River. It is a small basin surrounded by mountains and rivers. Since the merger of Songkou, Songdong and Songnan, it has become the largest town in Meixian District. Songkou is not only a thousand-year-old town, but also a place where Hakka people live. Songkou's historical sites and natural landscapes are uniquely endowed and have a pattern of their own. So far, many ancient residential buildings have been preserved in various places. Because Songkou Ancient Town has not yet been fully developed, there are few tourists, and its buildings and environmental protection are better.Meizhou · 37.6km from downtown

The old arcade buildings currently preserved in Meizhou are mainly located in the area of Lingfeng Road in the old city of Jiangbei. The road was built in 1932 and is about 1,000 meters long and 8.5 meters wide. The small streets on both sides are more narrow, but due to the appropriate building scale, it is not congested. There are continuous rows of Chinese and Western hybrids on both sides of the road Arcade commercial buildings, there are still landmarks such as Meijiang Bridge and Meizhou Academy. The surrounding area belongs to the important historical and cultural protection area of Meizhou City. The shops, workshops, restaurants, warehouses, porches and other architectural styles in the block are mixed, and the architectural forms are conservative and avant-garde. There are still many Hakka dwellings in the block that combine Chinese and Western styles. Their architectural forms include buildings, courtyards, and various combinations, showing the mutual penetration and influence of dwellings in western Fujian and eastern Guangdong.Meizhou · 2.5km from downtown

It is an iron tower, cast in 965. This pagoda is not high, only 4.2 meters, each side is less than 2 meters long, and it is square, but it is amazing that there are 250 large and small Buddha statues cast on each side of the pagoda, and there are a total of 1,000 Buddhas on all sides, hence the name. . It is a key protected cultural relic in Guangdong Province. The pagoda began in Xiuhui Temple and was later destroyed. In the early years of Qianlong, it was relocated to the eastern suburbs of Meicheng by the official Wang Zhe of Jiaying Prefecture. In 1989, it was moved into the courtyard of Putong Pagoda. In 1990, a large tower with a height of 36 meters was built in the ordinary pagoda courtyard, with a total of nine floors. The first floor houses the Thousand Buddha Iron Tower, the inner walls of the second to ninth floors are inlaid with a thousand white marble Buddha statues, and the top floor is placed with a thousand golden Buddhas.Meizhou · 2.7km from downtown

Yinna Mountainis located in the Yanyang area of Meixian in eastern Guangdong, and the mountain is home to many temples and monasteries, with the thousand-year-old Lingguang Temple at the foot of the mountain being especially well-known. Lingguang Temple, originally named Shengshou Temple, along with Guangzhou Guangxiao Temple, Nanhua Temple, and kaiyuan Temple, became one of Guangdong's four famed monasteries. The temple was founded in the Tang dynasty, built into the mountainside, and has attracted steady devotion for centuries. Lingguang Temple contains three wonders. The first is the "life-and-death cypress": of the two cypress trees in front of the temple that are over 1,100 years old, one has been dead for more than 300 years yet has not decayed and still stands upright beside the other flourishing, leafy cypress; the second is that although there are lush trees behind the main hall, leaves have never fallen onto the hall's roof, a mystery that remains unsolved; the third is the "pineapple top". Lingguang Temple's surviving buildings mostly date from the Ming and Qing periods and later, and the main hall's roof features a spiral caisson ceiling pieced together from more than 1,000 rectangular wooden blocks, commonly called the pineapple top. When incense burns heavily inside the temple, not a wisp of smoke is seen outside; the smoke instead spirals up along the caisson ceiling and disperses naturally. Such exquisitely engineered structural craftsmanship exists in only two places nationwide (the other is the Temple of Heaven in Beijing).Meizhou · 30km from downtown

The China·Meizhou "Hakka Hometown" health and wellness cultural tourism complex project is located in Bingcun Town, Meixian District, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. It is built by Meizhou Dingsheng Yitian Tourism Industry Investment Co., Ltd. with a planned total investment of 5 billion yuan and a total planned area of 2,000 acres. The first phase plans 1,000 acres, integrating cultural shaping, live performances, folk experience, healthy food, and leisure and vacation functions. Hakka Old Street pioneered immersive tours, with four major theme sections: Memory of Meizhou, Gluttonous Meizhou, Scenery Meizhou, and Happy Meizhou. It is a characteristic ancient street that integrates six business experience projects such as artisan culture display, folk performances, leisure and entertainment, Hakka homestays, creative workshops, and local food. Yuanxiang Theater "Yuanxiang" is China's first large-scale stage play with a walled house scene experience, and it is also the world's first live performance with Hakka culture as its theme. The story is based on the migration of Hakka people to the south to make a living.

The China Hakka Museum is one of the main must-see attractions in Meizhou, a great place to learn about Hakka culture. It's easily accessible by several bus lines. The museum is quite large and provides a detailed overview of the history and development of Hakka culture. For first-time visitors to Meizhou, it's a must-visit. Admission is free; you can book a visit on-site. There's also a café inside.

The old street is quite nice to stroll around, with plenty of food and drinks. Especially at night, it's packed with people and cars. It's not a pedestrian street, so be careful of oncoming traffic. Lingfeng Road, Zhongshan Road, and Youluo Street are all located here. You can come at night to eat and shop at the same time. However, many shops close early, so remember to come early. Many small restaurants are very affordable!

When traveling to Meizhou, I came to the Thousand Buddha Pagoda Temple, one of the main attractions in Meizhou. It is located on the top of Dadongyan Mountain in the eastern suburbs. It is a female temple developed from the Thousand Buddha Iron Pagoda, a cultural relic of the Southern Han Dynasty. After arriving, keep walking inside. You need to walk a little up the mountain to reach the pagoda. Inside the pagoda is the iron pagoda. The iron pagoda is divided into seven floors and is square. There are 250 large and small Buddha statues cast on each side, and a total of 1,000 Buddhas on the four sides. The pagoda outside was built in 1991. The tower is 9 stories high and octagonal.

Pan Liaoquan, the founder of the temple, once sat on a stone and left a poem. In front of the gate, there are trees of life and death, one withering and the other flourishing. Behind the temple, there are mountains, one after another. In the deep mountains, the climate is a bit cold, and there are not many pilgrims, which is a unique interest.

The Ye Jianying Memorial Park was established on the basis of Ye Jianying's former residence and the Ye Jianying Memorial Hall. The memorial park takes the display of the great man's style and Hakka culture as the main line, and is based on the national key cultural relics protection unit and patriotism education base. It plans to construct four functional areas: humanistic residence, memorial scenic area, tourism and leisure service area and ecological forest area.

The Pankeng Tourist Scenic Area, which I visited on my last trip to Meizhou, is located in Sanjiao Town, the southern suburb of Meicheng. It is a holiday leisure and tourism destination. The scenic area is large, the air is fresh, and it contains rich natural and cultural landscapes. Visitors can climb high to exercise and enjoy the beautiful forest scenery, and plant trees while enjoying the scenery. The streams in the valley are clear and the scenery is quiet. In addition, the scenic area also plans to build a new "Hakka Folk Village" with Hakka dragon houses as the main body and a comprehensive "Water Park" and other attractions. The transportation is convenient and it is worth a visit.

The scenery of Marshal Ye's former residence is nice. It is a typical Hakka walled house in the Ye Jianying Memorial Park. It is clean and tidy. It is a free attraction with a very high cost-effectiveness. You can receive the baptism of red and learn about relevant historical knowledge.

It was my first time to visit "Kedu Renjia". It was so amazing, a tourist attraction. The whole street was neat and tidy, and the ground was clean and sanitary. The night view was beautiful, and there were many performances in the block: !Hydrangea Marriage, Hometown Interactive Show, Happy Parade, Divine Calculator, etc. I also went to a "Xunlujian B&B" by chance. The room was clean and tidy, and it made people feel the warmth of "home".

Enjoy an exclusive outdoor hot spring and a Japanese Zen-style courtyard. As soon as I posted the photos, my friends kept asking if I'd secretly gone abroad again... (Detailed travel guide included) ▌Environment: Kyoto meets Bali right outside the door. The entire resort cleverly blends Japanese and European styles, and the courtyard design is full of Kyoto charm. When the lights are on at night, it feels like stepping into a movie set. 📸Must-photo spots: The bamboo path by the hot spring pool, the European-style arcade, and the tatami coffee break area. ▌Room: Private hot spring access, stargazing. This time, I stayed in a "Lakeside Villa" with its own private hot spring pool, accessible 24/7 with adjustable water temperature. Counting the stars while soaking in the hot springs at night is an instant soothing experience! 💡Remember to bring aromatherapy and bath bombs to enhance the ambiance. ▌Dining: A surprise treat! Breakfast is a semi-buffet buffet. I highly recommend the freshly made eggs Benedict and Japanese set meals. For dinner, I tried the green bean hot pot; the broth was so delicious I couldn't resist three bowls! Surroundings: A blend of tranquility and art. The hotel is adjacent to the Wenyu River, perfect for morning walks and bike rides. Song Art Museum is just a 20-minute drive away, perfect for art lovers! If you're looking for a quick getaway from Beijing, Chunhui Garden is a must-see! Location: Yuzhuang, Gaoliying Town, Shunyi District (directly navigate to "Chunhui Garden Hot Spring Resort")
