Things to do in Green Island

It was a fantastic experience. A helicopter tour is a must when visiting the Great Barrier Reef; the view from the sky is breathtaking and awe-inspiring. Since there was no language barrier, we chose the Silver Shuttle, a large twin-hulled boat that takes you to the deep sea. We boarded at Port Douglas. There were many foreign tourists, but overall it wasn't crowded. Aside from the food being just average (foreign food is so-so), everything else was fine. Snorkeling is included in the ticket price, and the submarine tour for seeing marine life was a great experience!

Overall, it was pretty good. The service was excellent; for those prone to seasickness, they provided bags, tissues, and ice. The environment has been severely damaged; the coral bleaching is quite bad, and there are no red corals left. Green Island is still quite beautiful. We were on a glass-bottom boat, so the view was a bit limited compared to a semi-submarine.

Green Island is the closest to the pier. It only takes a little over an hour to get there. It is very good for people who are prone to seasickness. You can also go to the island. The beach is white and the water is clear. The seawater is blue and beautiful. It is very suitable for playing in the sand and swimming. The snorkeling area is very large. The coral reefs and fish on the seabed can be seen in the clear water. It is just too hot and too sunny. It is a pity that the boat arrived at the hottest time and returned in the afternoon. If it is in the evening, it should be cool and comfortable on the beach.

The Great Barrier Reef experience was superb, with crystal-clear waters. Snorkeling allowed for close-up views of corals and fish, and we even encountered sea turtles – the underwater world was dreamy and healing. The guide was professional and attentive, and the itinerary was smoothly arranged. Both the snorkeling and aerial views were well worth it. A trip to this blue paradise in the Southern Hemisphere made all the travel worthwhile; highly recommended! Version 3 (Artistic atmosphere, suitable for travel platforms/Xiaohongshu reviews) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars! Finally visited the Great Barrier Reef, a place I'd been longing to visit. The sea surface was painted in layers of Tiffany blue and deep sea blue. Diving underwater, the corals swayed gently in the currents, schools of fish swam around, and sea turtles swam leisurely – peaceful and healing. Looking down at the reef from the air, the heart-shaped reef lay quietly on the ocean – nature's romance touched my heart. The team's service was attentive and thoughtful, a perfect experience.

Highlight of the day trip is our helicopter experience over the great barrier reef. 10mins joy ride over the reef. Feels like in a James Bond Movie! Bucket List ticked =)

The scene was definitely beautiful, we took the cableway around 3PM and was not too hot. Gaby was amazing, we originally purchased the wrong time and wrong departure location. She was able to help us make it right. We also missed our original booked time but the staffs allowed us to get on. Everyone is so nice here 😊

The most impressive attraction to us is Army Duck Tour. The ranger was funny and knowledgeable. He introduced different plants and habitats in the rainforest. In addition, there were a few koala, wallabies and wildlife to see. Quite an interesting place to play a half day visit.

Looking around, the village is full of nature, and the journey from Cairns to the village was amazing!!! 🌿 However, it was very hot at the end of October, so ice cream was a must🤣

On the way to the Mole Reef Platform on the Great Adventure, the Chinese tourists disappeared and snickered as they sailed through Green Island. Although disrespectful to their compatriots, to be honest, the noise of the Chinese people is really too noisy, which is in contrast to the quiet atmosphere around them. After they get off the boat, their ears are cleared immediately.

Overall it was great, but the boat was going too fast and everyone felt dizzy. Almost everyone felt dizzy, even someone like me who rarely gets carsick or seasick. The scenery of the Great Barrier Reef is still beautiful, and it's worth the trip!
