All in all, it was really great. Our South American guide wasn't in the best mood, though – he got a bit brusque at the slightest mistake, which dampened the atmosphere in the dinghy a little. But that shouldn't detract from the activity itself or the overall experience. My only minor complaint was that everything was conducted exclusively in English.

The falconry exhibit was delightful. I was thoroughly impressed. The castle is charming and I would strongly recommend the funicular for the views and wase on knees.

I joined this tour when planning my first trip to Austria as a graduation trip. ✈️ It was safer than going to Hallstatt on my own, and most importantly, the tour guide and staff were very kind and helpful, so I felt at ease. We had about two hours of free time in Hallstatt, which was just the right length. In Salzburg, we had a brief guided tour for the first few minutes, followed by free time. Both guides explained things in relatively simple English, which even a Japanese person like me could understand. 🙌🏻 I joined with a friend this time, but if I have the chance to visit Austria again, I'd like to join with my partner or family!

This half day tour is a great and convenient way to visit Hallstat. It is of course more expensive than taking the train or public bus+ferry to get to Hallstat, but it is certainly a time-saver. It's essentially a direct bus trip to Hallstat with a bit of commentary of interesting places that we passed and some history. Once you reached Hallstat, you will go around on your own for about 2.5 hours and the bus will come to pick up at a certain time. The 1.5 hours ride is comfortable and there's a power point at your seat if you need to charge your phone.

Note that it's more expensive to buy on trip.com vs buying on the counter itself but it might be more convenient given it's denominated in local currency. It's very worth it to buy the card since the attractions covered more than offset the cost of the card. Note you need to go tourist info counter to collect the salzburg card which will be activated only after you visited your first attraction

The train was worth the trip! We couldn’t have done this without it. The castle is beautiful and the views are amazing


