My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time here. We learned hands on about matcha from the wonderful staff. The museum admission at the end was also a pleasant and interesting experience. Would recommend if in the Uji area again.★

Kenzo our tour guide was very nice and created a lovely atmosphere amongst our small group of travellers guiding us through lovely Uji, the Temple, Shrine and gave us some tips where to buy matcha.★

This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.★

What a wonderful day! The tour guide was enthusiastic and professional, providing detailed explanations and leading us to experience Kyoto, Nara, and Uji in depth. The itinerary was well-planned; we fed the deer in Nara and enjoyed authentic matcha sweets. The whole trip was stress-free.
