We bought the eSIM online at the airport in Vietnam. The QR code for installation was immediately available. After scanning, the installation process was largely automatic. We were even able to order an inexpensive taxi online while still at the airport. We had excellent connectivity throughout our entire trip, both in the cities and in the mountains. Highly recommended!
