Enjoyable and totally unique experience.....well organised and communicated by the Forgotten World organization, and "chaperoned" by a team of 3 young tour leaders who went out of their way to make the day memorable.

We got lucky with the weather, overpacking gear in anticipation of the rain. The shuttle arrived in a timely manner and dropped us to and from our location. The trail was mobbed. It is well laid out and for two fit lads was a good workout. Toilets along the way and areas to take photos / stop for lunch. Hike of a lifetime. I would imagine the trail is extremely dangerous in more severe weather as some sections have very loose rocks / muddy slopes which were thankfully dry for us.

Punctual pickup at the agreed meeting point and good instructions for the Tongarino Alpine Crossing Track. There's also the option of being picked up back at the starting point if you have to cut the track short (for an extra charge). Everything was excellent; I highly recommend the service. Since I wasn't staying in a hotel but had rented a holiday home, I was dropped off right in front of it in the afternoon.

We had a fantastic day on the Golf Cart River Cruise from Taumarunui to Tokirima. Everything about the experience was excellent. The lunch was great, the staff were fantastic, and their local knowledge really made the trip special. They shared interesting stories about the river and the area, which added so much to the journey. It was a relaxing and enjoyable way to see this beautiful part of the river and rail. Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting the region! We definitely will be back


