Reviews: Waterfall, Lagoon and Old Village in Peneda-Gerês National Park

I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, particularly if you’re on your own! Our tour guide was Diogo, he was very good at making conversation and helped us learn a lot about life in the national park. The fact he had a strong relationship with the local people meant they were happy to show us their local traditions. Overall a great day, thank you!

There is nothing like the peace of mind you get from having a connection the second the plane wheels touch the tarmac. While everyone else was lining up at expensive airport kiosks, I was already calling my Uber and texting my family.
Reviews: From Porto: Hike & Swim in Gerês National Park

Please leave a review. Thursday, September 25, 2025, Departing from Porto: Hiking & Swimming in Geres National Park [Title] Enjoy Northern Portugal, with more than just the historic district, slopes, and bifanas! [Content] Under the autumn-like blue sky, we hiked along a well-maintained mountain path for 1 hour and 15 minutes (4.8 km), admiring the majestic greenery and boulders. We arrived at a heavenly mountain lagoon. Surrounded by the crystal-clear blue lagoon, we ate our brought-in sandwiches while listening to the babbling brook and birdsong, and spent the rest of the day relaxing (about 1.5 hours). Completely refreshed, we returned home the same way we came, relaxing. Located in the northernmost part of Portugal, Peneda-Geres National Park (Parco Nacional Peneda-Geres) is a mountainous region straddling the Spanish border. It's about 100 km from Porto (about 2 hours one way), and there's no public transportation, making it difficult to get there on your own. So, joining this tour was a great decision. The guide, who knows the area inside and out, will provide you with the necessary information and precautions, but don't worry, unlike guides on other large bus tours, he will never crack jokes (which I can't understand as I'm not very good at English).
