Excellent, immersive experience at a well-preserved archaeological site. Unfortunately, our guide did not speak English, but there are signs all along the way in both Spanish and English that did a decent job of explaining the site and its various facets.★

Currently, the cave is closed due to flooding, but the area with many baths has a variety of hot spring temperatures, and there are over 100 baths, so you can relax and enjoy the hot springs while taking in the beautiful scenery. It is the perfect hot spring resort for Japanese people.★

Sam is a treasure. He knows so much about every building in SMA and told us many great historical facts we never would have known. We went to some very local bars and restaurants that as tourist we soups have not know about. Easy walkable tour, all very close in. Highly recommend!
