He was phenomenal, showing us the heart of the favela while making us feel completely safe. Anyone hesitant to take this tour for safety reasons is absolutely mistaken. 100% recommended. The favela tour was so much more than I expected it to be. This was a remarkable experience. Our guide was truly an outstanding person who gave us a very respectful and intelligent insight into the community and life in the favela. It was an emotional trip and one I’ll never forget. Such inspiring people living in trying circumstances showed me the human spirit and love of family and neighbour is alive in these wonderful communities. Taking care of the children and keeping families intact and safe is key. A profound experience I would recommend to everyone.
