Reviews: Day Tour in Mt. Field, Mt. Wellington, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Richmond

What a wonderful variety of the best of the Hobart area! From the Mt. Field National Park forest to the Bonorong Sanctuary and finally the summit of Mt. Wellington we were treated to experiences we could not have accessed on our own without a great deal of driving and effort. Thankfully we had an expert driver who kept us moving but gave us plenty of time to immerse in each location.

The crew is friendly and welcoming, and the food is fresh and delicious. The cabins are clean and comfortable. Especially enjoy the beautiful scenery on the morning excursions.

Peter was our driver/guide. He gave us much information about Richmond, Hobart and Tasmania on our way to Richmond. He made sure everyone was happy including my 10-year old daughter who looked a bit dull that day. He cared to show us around Bonorong before the start of the official tour and pretty much gave us a highlight around the Dock area. He’s just awesome!

Oh my god, Nicole, the customer service representative, was incredibly kind! 🥹 I booked too late and there were no tickets left for the day trip, but I don't drive, so getting to the cruise pier was a huge challenge. She was so incredibly helpful. First, she checked if there was any public transportation, but the buses were sold out, and the bus schedule was too late for the cruise. She then contacted other people and managed to free up two seats for me (please don't follow my example!). I'm so incredibly grateful; she took on so much work that wasn't even her responsibility 😭 Please give her a raise or a bonus! Also, the day trip was really great! I thought the group meal would be some mediocre stuff, but it was actually eaten in a garden restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows, and the fish and chips were better than in Hobart town. The Tasman cruise was also amazing; we saw dolphins, seals, and a huge variety of seabirds. The reefs and moss were stunning—it felt like something out of the movie *How to Train Your Dragon*!

Excellent trip to experience the Tasmanian wilderness through a charming bush walk among the giant eucalyptus trees and 300+ years old native ferns whilst chasing waterfalls. If you’re lucky you’ll spot some wildlife. If not you will in any case get to see some at the incredible Bonorong wildlife sanctuary. Great thanks to Heather for the trip!
