An essential pass for exploring Tohoku freely. With the rising price of the national Junior Pass, it's the best solution.

Slightly harder to redeem than. Expected especially if you are helping friends to purchase but afterwards can easily show this pass. Although it might be confusing at the beginning which grain to take with this pass

When traveling on the Narita SKY ACCESS line (between Keisei Takasago Station and Narita Airport Terminal 1), the following sections are permitted: (1) All stations on the Keisei Line and various transportation authorities, excluding the Hokusō Railway section (between Keisei Takasago Station and Inhata Nippon Medical School Station), and all stations between Narita-Yukawa Station, Narita Airport Terminals 2 and 3, and Narita Airport Terminal 1. (2) All stations between Inhata Nippon Medical School Station, Narita-Yukawa Station, Narita Airport Terminals 2 and 3, and Narita Airport Terminal 1.

We queued at the JR Green Counter at Narita Airport to exchange our tickets. We asked the female employee scanning the queue to confirm if we could exchange our tickets there, and she said yes. However, when we got to the counter, the staff said we couldn't exchange them there and had to go to the JR East Travel Service Center across the street. But that center didn't open until 8:30 AM, so we had to wait in line again. We saw many other travelers walking around in queues like us. Fortunately, the staff at the JR East Travel Service Center were very efficient and quickly processed our ticket exchange. They even asked if we had our travel plans and helped us reserve seats for our flights from the airport to Tokyo Station and from Tokyo Station to Echigo-Yuzawa, which was very thoughtful. The ticket price was excellent value, and we were generally satisfied, although the ticket exchange process was a bit confusing.
