Visiting Hallstatt, Melk and Salzburg was amazing-but be warned its a LONG day trip with more time in a van than touring the towns. Still worth it and our driver, Darko, was very informative and was flexible to shape the day how we preferred. The locations were gorgeous!! Be sure to discuss the different routes they can drive because we missed going through beautiful mountain views for one possible stop at a Sound of Music location. When booking we didn't understand fully what we would see along the way. Once our driver knew I was a Sound of Music fan that determined our route- but foggy weather did prevent us fro seeing some areas as you will see in my pictures. If I had this to do again - I would do a day trip to Salzburg by itself so we could have enjoyed that area longer. The time in Hallstatt was perfect. Weather wasn't great in Salzburg but skipping around the "Sound of Music" fountain with my grown kids made it all worth it. Overall, a great day trip!★

Nice way to see more of the country outside of Vienna. Beautiful lake country and stops at the key SoM locations, as well as some nice history lessons during the long drive. Michael was a great guide. Don’t forget to tip your driver.★

The day trip was amazing and the guides were really nice! We managed to see so much during the day, and Hallstatt in particular was amazing and fairytale-like. Definitely value for money if you want to see the rest of Austria during your trip to Vienna! The photo and postcard we received from the trip crowned the trip <3
