Climb up to the Longji Rice Terraces and overlook the "fingerprints of the earth" carved by the Zhuang and Yao ancestors over 650 years. The layers of rice waves are picturesque.
The Jinkeng Rice Terraces cascade down the mountainside, their distinct lines resembling fingerprints on the earth. With each season offering a different view, they are an ideal location for capturing stunning sunrises, sunsets, and breathtaking views of the terraces.

Reviews: Guilin Day Tour: Longji Rice Terraces and Ping'an Zhuang Village (Private or Group Tour Available)

I booked a tour of the Longzi Rice Terraces. They contacted me via WeChat a day before to confirm. The tour itself is by minibus, with a stop for lunch and a restroom. First, they show you the Yao village, where a traditional Chinese concert is held. The concert is not included in the price; it's an optional extra, so you can transfer money to the driver if you wish. Then there's lunch. Lunch itself is not included. You're taken to a rather expensive restaurant. Afterwards, we transfer to the cable car and ascend to the rice terrace, where you can explore it on your own for 1.5 hours. The program is fully implemented, and all the scheduled sites were shown. The only downside is probably the price – this tour is generally cheaper at local agencies. The driver only speaks Chinese, so communication is via translators and WeChat. I should say he even tells you a little about the locations. Be sure to check the weather forecast; the terraces are windy and rainy in winter.
