Although you can do the tour on your own, you'd miss all the details and explanations about the places. I enjoyed the tour

I was very upset because we had to wait an hour before the tour could start due to a mix-up with the reservation details. However, I would like to express my gratitude to Santiago, who rushed over, apologized, and did his best to conduct the La Paz city tour. Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy La Paz much better in a short amount of time. I was also very, very thankful for the coins he gave my child as a gift!!!!
Reviews: La Paz Walking City tour plus Cable cars
Guest User2026-01-15
This walking tour was a fantastic way to get to know La Paz. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared a lot of interesting context about the city’s history, culture, and daily life. The group size was small, which made it easy to ask questions and stay engaged throughout the tour. The highlight was definitely taking the cable cars up to El Alto — the views over La Paz are incredible and give you a completely different perspective of the city. The visit to El Alto felt authentic and informative, not rushed at all. Overall, it was a well-organized, insightful experience and a great introduction to both La Paz and El Alto. Highly recommended, especially if it’s your first time in the city.
