I was so glad I booked a guided tour in advance. It not only solved the ticket problem, but also made the whole visit smooth and efficient. During the summer vacation, it's impossible to book a guided tour on-site. The guide we were given this time was very detailed and engaging. The tour lasted for more than 3 hours, and both the elderly and children enjoyed it very much. We entered at 9:30 am and didn't leave until 1:30 pm. My feet were sore from exhaustion, but the experience was fantastic and well worth the trip.★

The organization was impeccable, with a perfectly paced itinerary that comfortably covered all advertised sites at both Qingcheng Mountain (青城山) and the Dujiangyan (都江堰), beginning with a perfectly timely hotel pickup. The guide system was particularly effective; we had a dedicated English-speaking guide whose passion and deep knowledge brought the history of the region to life. She didn't just show us ancient sites - she connected the ingenious principles of the 2,000-year-old irrigation system directly to its vital role in Sichuan today, which was fascinating. A crucial piece of advice: ensure you have WeChat installed. Our guide used a chat to align the hotel pickup and share route details. An absolutely first-class, educational, and enjoyable day.
