The itinerary before lunch was arranged with the tour guide, and the tickets were not sent to us. After the boat, the free activities were issued. Because several bridges are being repaired, it is a waste of time to go around. The place is not big, and the consumption is lower than other famous ancient towns. The price of group purchases is really favorable. I will continue to pay attention to it, and I hope Trip.com will push some new affordable lines.★

We brought our child to Chengdu and specifically chose this relatively relaxing one-day tour. The car picked us up directly from the hotel in the morning; the 9-seater van was very comfortable. The day's itinerary was fulfilling yet not tiring. I especially want to commend our guide, Sun Xiurong, not only for her warm and friendly service, but also for her extensive professional knowledge. In the morning, she was incredibly knowledgeable about the habits and anecdotes of the pandas at the panda base, and in the afternoon, she was equally fluent in the unique history of Sanxingdui. Her two-hour continuous explanation was captivating and perfectly complemented the magnificent culture of Sanxingdui. It was the most patient, detailed, and engaging explanation I've ever received in a museum in China! My child and I had a wonderful time! 🥳 Thank you, Guide Sun! I'll definitely come back to Chengdu!★

I visited Sanxingdui on my birthday, which coincidentally is the same year the major discovery was made (1986)! It was an incredible experience. The museum perfectly showcases the mysterious Shu civilization, with its one-of-a-kind bronze figures and captivating gold masks. The artifacts are so different from other ancient Chinese cultures, making you wonder about their origins. A truly unforgettable and mind-blowing place.★

The luckiest thing about this trip to Sanxingdui was meeting our guide, Shanshan! Not only was she a smooth driver, but her explanations were also captivating—the bronze sacred tree, the golden mask, and the mask with protruding eyes, which had been dormant for millennia, suddenly "came to life" through her narration. She always managed to connect the archaeological discoveries with the ancient Shu civilization through vivid stories, captivating even the children.
What's even more remarkable is Shanshan's thoughtfulness and attentiveness: she reminded us of the weather in advance, helped us plan our route, proactively offered to take photos, and even prepared snacks for us. At the end of the day, it felt less like following a tour guide and more like having a familiar friend leading us on a journey through the mysterious ancient Shu civilization.
Highly recommended! If you come to Sanxingdui, hiring Shanshan will definitely enhance your trip.
