Reviews: Skydiving dropzone/thaisky two bases in Pattaya, Bangkok, Thailand, hotel pick-up and drop-off in Pattaya
Guest User2026-06-08
On the evening of May 28th, I booked a skydive with third-party and handheld filming for 11:00 AM the next day.
After placing the order, someone proactively added me on WeChat and explained some skydiving precautions.
On May 29th at 10:00 AM, I waited at the hotel reception for the shuttle bus.
After getting on the bus, it continued to pick up other guests from various hotels in Pattaya, arriving at the skydiving base around 11:15 AM.
First, I went to the reception to sign a waiver, then took a number and waited to jump.
While waiting, you can choose goggles. The rental fee is 300 baht, or you can use the free ones, but they're not very attractive. Alternatively, I recommend ordering goggles on Pinduoduo before you go abroad; a pair costs less than 10 yuan.
If you're nearsighted (around 500 degrees), you can wear contact lenses, as they are more comfortable and produce better photos.
Around 12:30 AM, it was my turn to jump. First, the instructor will record a pre-jump video for you. This usually involves introducing yourself and your reasons for choosing skydiving, etc. Then, they briefly explain some safety precautions, and you wait to jump.
At 13:00, I put on my skydiving gear and boarded the helicopter.
The helicopter flew further and further away from the ground, and my anxiety grew. But there was no turning back; I had to force myself to be brave.
The instructor recorded a video with me, usually about my feelings and how nervous I was.
After 20 minutes of flight, we reached the designated altitude. I confirmed with the instructor again that I was fully prepared and ready to jump.
The instructor opened the helicopter door, grabbed me, and jumped.
I free-fell for about 5 seconds, experiencing severe G-forces, similar to the first few seconds of a drop tower's rapid descent.
Then the small parachute opened, and a photographer approached, signaling to film.
Even without opening my mouth, my face was severely distorted by the wind; even Fan Bingbing wouldn't necessarily get a good shot.
After the third-party filming, the instructor deployed the large parachute, and we both shot upwards. After about 5 seconds, I gradually stabilized; the G-forces subsided, and my face returned to normal.
The instructor will then take out a selfie stick and have you record a video facing the camera. This is the optimal time for a good shot, so make the most of it.
After taking the selfie, begin your descent. Make sure to keep your legs high until you are several tens of meters above the ground to avoid injury from a impact.
Thankfully, thanks to the safety precautions, both the instructor and I successfully landed.
After celebrating and saying goodbye to the instructor, we returned to the skydiving base to wait for the video and photos to be copied, which takes about 30 minutes.
After receiving the video and photos, you will usually wait for other skydivers to join you for a group trip to Pattaya city.
We chose the 60min ATV driving course. It turned out to be a great choice. The guides provide me thai and English briefing on how to drive the ATV. We went on roads, dirt tracks, bush, water and farmlands. Great experience would highly recommend and I will be doing it again for sure next time
Hotel pick-up and drop-off, no need to rush in the scorching sun, and Chinese-speaking service throughout, so no communication problems. We booked the zipline tour, and it was just the two of us the whole time; the instructor was practically a private service for us, which was unexpected even during the peak Chinese New Year season…

Reviews: Nong Nooch Tropical Garden

The hotel was great, I was very satisfied, and the hot springs inside were also nice. The peach picking area was a bit hard to find, with no clear signs along the way, but the farm was very kind; they sent a car to pick us up after we called. However, the peaches were of rather average quality, and the price wasn't particularly competitive.
