Lauterbrunnen
Lauterbrunnen is a small town located south of Interlaken, where over 70 waterfalls and streams cascade down the cliffs. The town's German name literally means "many springs," making it truly deserving of its title as the "Waterfall Town." Nestled among mountains, Lauterbrunnen is a secluded, tranquil, and unspoiled paradise with minimal artificial pollution or commercial development. Here, quietly admiring the beauty of the landscape is a true delight in life. The iconic Staubbach Falls is the town's signature view, where a clear spring extends from the cliff's edge and plunges hundreds of meters straight down, leaving a lasting impression. A small path at the base of the waterfall leads to a cave behind it, offering a unique perspective of the cascading water. Additionally, the Trümmelbach Falls, located about 3 km from the town, is another must-see. Formed by melted snow from the Alps, the waterfall boasts a drop equivalent to ten stories, making it incredibly spectacular. The area is also home to several other majestic waterfalls, so if time permits, they are well worth exploring.
Grindelwald
Grindelwald is a village southeast of Interlaken, also known as the "Glacier Village," located at the foot of Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe. It serves as a must-pass destination for travelers visiting Jungfraujoch. In summer, it's ideal for hiking, while in winter, it transforms into one of the largest ski resorts in the Jungfrau region.
