A Helicopter flight around the summit of Mt Etna was the highlight of my trip to Sicily to see Mt Etna, she is the most magnificent volcano and I completely understand how the Sicilians call her mamma. So to take a flight was a must and I was not disappointed. The captain of the helicopter was extremely professional we all felt very safe it was obvious that he has many years experience flying around the area. He was very informative and imparted his knowledge and love of Mt Etna. All the guides I have met have the same deep reverence for the volcano . This is an absolute must because you get to see and feel the grandness and stunning beauty of the volcano. I cannot recommend this way of seeing Mt Etna enough

I really enjoyed the two guides; they were genuinely funny, a lot of fun, and very knowledgeable. Perhaps a bit pricey, but okay.
