Reviews: From Penang: Ipoh History + Food Private Charter Day Tour
Guest User2025-05-08
As a group of 6 travelers, we planned to go to Ipoh from Penang with this private tour. The tour guide Mr Wilson contacted us prior the trip to make sure the luggages can fit in a car. He made plans around that to ensure we have a more comfortable trip. Highly recommend Wilson as he has a deep knowledge of the city and the history behind it. Bonus: he takes super nice photos.

Of the five attractions, Perak Cave is the best; the others are just average. The drive from Penang to Ipoh takes approximately two hours.
Reviews: UNESCO Archaeological Heritage Of The Lenggong Valley from Ipoh
Guest User2024-11-17
It is not easy to find a guided tour of the Lenggong Valley. The tour organised by Ipoh Secrets Tours with guides John (for the day) and Faiz (for the caves) was just what we needed. From Ipoh we travelled comfortably by car to the Lenggong Valley where we visited several caves where archaeological excavations have been carried out (including Gua Teluk Kelawar, Gua Ngaum and Gua Asar). As announced, we walked from one cave to the next; good shoes were essential, as the path was in the forest and the ground can be slippery in the caves. On the way back, we visited the Lenggong Archaeological Museum before enjoying a delicious laksa telur sarang in a typical restaurant. The tour also included a very interesting stopover in the royal city of Kuala Kangsar, where we visited the royal mosque and the magnificent "temporary" palace (Muzium Diraja Kuala Kangsar). Our guides were both very knowledgeable and we thank them once again for this wonderful day of discovery.
