Jose Pablo is an incredible guide! He led us through the vibrant streets of San José with a perfect mix of history and local tales. We have seen the world’s most unusual sundial and the famous "Metal School" (which the country’s President visited while we were there). We crossed the atmospheric parks and visited the stunning National Theatre. We tried incredible chocolates and admired old buildings. Navigating the "maze" of the central market for the best coffee in the world and amazing pastries concluded our trip. Jose Pablo’s facts and stories made the city come alive. If you want the true Pura Vida experience, book this tour!

Very nice crew! We learnt a lot from them about the whales. They also tried to show as a lot as possible but also with the respect to the animals. Tasty food on the boat :) highly recommended!!

What an amazing experience! Manuel is an amazing chef and teacher. He got us all working at creating some amazing empanadas in his wonderful outdoor kitchen. We loved having the animals around and my kiddo loved feeding the goats. We all loved learning some new dishes that we will be able to practice at home.
Reviews: Hacienda Café Doka, Volcán Poas & Jardines de La Catarata La Paz

Recommendations for activity: - Good shoes (lots of walking) - Small backpack I went to Costa Rica with my father and decided to do this activity. This activity is an all day affair, and covers a multitude of things. We learned about coffee at the Doka Estates— drank lots of coffee in the process. We then went to the Volcano. Keep in mind you might have to hang around for an hour to see the crater (we went during the rainy season). It was hard to get a visible view of the crater. We were able to get a good view for 30 seconds and that’s it. Later we checked out the waterfalls, which I must say was gorgeous! The lunch was included— it was a buffet style lunch. I would recommend doing this tour if you want to complete several activity’s in one day. My only gripe was the tour guide was a little overwhelming. He constantly checked in on us like we were kids, other than that, the tour was good.
