You need to speak English to get to the arrival square where hundreds of tourists queue together before being assigned places. It's suitable for those who want a quick tour, as it's almost impossible to visit all those places on your own. At first, I thought it was expensive, but later I realized it was a really good deal; your train ticket alone would cost more than that. June/July is just too hot 🥵, the weather is bad, so it's not suitable for traveling with family! It's fine for young people with children abroad. Pompeii is definitely worth visiting! Although I got sunburned 😳

It was a wonderful experience. The tour to Pompeii and Herculaneum was very well organized from beginning to end, and we especially want to highlight the professionalism of the entire team. Our guide, Nina, was very professional, friendly, attentive, and approachable at all times, looking after the group and making everything easy and enjoyable. Our driver, Fredy, also deserves a special mention for his punctuality, kindness, and the safety with which he drove the entire route. And, of course, we want to highlight our historian guide, Teresa, who made the visit to Pompeii even more special. Her explanations were fascinating, very clear, and full of passion for history, which allowed us to understand and enjoy Pompeii much more. Overall, a very comprehensive, well-organized, and highly recommended tour. We would definitely do it again.

Paulo was very knowledgeable and being an archaeologist he had a depth of understanding and insight that you rarely get from other guides. I even overheard other guides giving wrong or surface level information next to us while Paulo was explaining to in depth and backing up his info with details of studies that had been done. We had a little hiccup with trains getting to Herculaneum but it didn’t affect the tour itself. Make sure you take water and a sun umbrella would have been worthwhile!


