Hellesylt: Breathtaking Views from Mount Stranda

Depart by bus from the village of Hellesylt, a small village with a spectacular waterfall, located at the very end of the Sunnylvsfjord. Follow the Sunnylvsfjord, passing through several tunnels until you reach Ljøen, a breathtaking viewpoint offering stunning views of the entrance to the beautiful Geirangerfjord. After a brief stop, continue towards the Strandadalen valley. Here, find numerous colorful farms and waterfalls.

After passing through Stranda, a town known for its Grandiosa pizza production and its significant fish farming industry, reach the renowned Mount Stranda Ski Resort. Strandafjellet Skisenter is one of Norway's top alpine resorts, famous for its long ski season and spectacular views of the fjord and the surrounding mountains.

Take a comfortable gondola ride to 1042 meters above sea level. Up there, enjoy panoramic views over the village of Stranda, the Sunnmøre Alps, the Storfjord, and the UNESCO World Heritage Area in Geiranger.

After the mountain-top experience, descend via the gondola to return to the bus. However, before proceeding with the tour, take a well-deserved break, savoring coffee or tea and waffle in the delightful cafeteria located at the gondola's base.

After enjoying some free time at Mount Stranda, the bus will be waiting for you near the cafeteria to transport you back to Hellesylt.
