Itinerary
Explore the charming town of Weesp on a 1,5h guided walking tour. Discover the town's rich history, see its windmills, and enjoy some of its local treats.

Meet your guide (a local who lived in Weesp his whole life), for an unforgettable walking tour through the most beautiful town of The Netherlands. We will do a 2 hour walking tour, exploring some of Weesp's best hidden gems.

Along the way, we will stop at the Ossenmarkt Fortress, a UNESCO-listed part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam. Take in the views of the moat and its defensive walls.

Next, we will follow the Vecht river towards your first windmill. Molen de Vriendschap, a classic Dutch windmill is still in operation. If open, take a peek inside (Saturdays only). Enjoy the postcard-perfect views from the bridge. After, we will make a scenic detour.

We will see the Oude Gracht, one of Weesp's prettiest canals, lined with historic houses on our way to Molen 't Haantje, a charming small windmill dating back to 1704.

Admire the Van Houten chocolate family's mansion, a grand 19th-century villa. Learn about Weesp's chocolate history—Van Houten revolutionized cocoa processing here. Walk back toward the town center through the picturesque streets.

We can visit Museum Weesp, housed in the grand Town Hall (1776). See the famous Weesper porcelain collection and learn about the town's rich history.

Admire the 15th-century Gothic church, Grote Kerk, with an impressive old organ. Step inside if it's open. Walk along the Vecht River for stunning views.
