I have never been this excited to write a review before. This tour truly exceeded all expectations! If you want to experience the authentic Dominican Republic, this is the perfect way to do it.
From start to finish, the experience felt genuine and thoughtfully organized. Best of all, no upselling and none of the “tourist trap” pressure you sometimes find elsewhere. It felt respectful, real, and community-focused.
Sandy was our driver and such a kind, friendly presence throughout the day. Our tour guide, Robinson, was absolutely fantastic. Knowledgeable, engaging, and so much fun.
They packed an incredible amount into the tour (roughly 7:45am–2:00pm), but it never felt rushed.
Highlights included:
*A fun and relaxed horseback ride and they even take family photos for you on your own phone!
*Riding through local towns on an open-air bus, which gave us an authentic glimpse into everyday life in the DR.
*A local market stop where herbs and goods were very affordable.
*A visit to a beautiful church and the stunning Macao Beach.
*Free Lunch at a local restaurant. Unlimited buffet of regular Dominican food. Sandy and Robinson bring Soda to share and offer water. Food was delicious.
*Touring an actual family home, which was incredibly eye-opening and meaningful to see how families live and organize their space.
*A hands-on cocoa and coffee demonstration which was educational and delicious! The coffee and cocoa products are only $10, and the proceeds go directly to that family.
*A cigar experience where we got to learn how cigars are made, try one, and even bring one home. You also get a free Rum or Mamajuana tasting.
This tour offers culture, education, fun, and heart. All in one half-day adventure. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a well-rounded and authentic Dominican experience.

Reginald and Josh are awesome. I did this excursion solo. They made sure that I was taking care of to the upmost. They put me in the front of the line. Both of them were super intentive, making sure that I got to each one of the destinations safely warded off those that were approaching me to buy things. Make sure that I didn't get taken advantage of when we got to each destination. I had enough time to take pictures if I asked one of them to take a picture for me they took the picture for me, super nice super attentive I couldn't have asked for any other better tour guides. I would highly recommend this excursion and you get to go to the beach. You get to see where they make chocolate and Coco with the Coco that we taste. It was absolutely amazing and then you get the jump into the cenote The best part of the excursion to me. The only thing I will advise is that you're going to get super dirty so be prepared hair face clothes shoes you're gonna get dirty but it's all fun.
