This tour guide was a real gem! Without a guided tour, a visit to the Yin Ruins in Anyang is just a collection of chariots and bronze artifacts. Thankfully, I chose to join a guided tour through Ctrip this time. The guide's explanations were lively and engaging, and the kids especially loved it. Highly recommended!!! The Yin Ruins chariot and horse pit exhibition on the first floor is a must-see! Especially the "two sacrificial victims pulling a rickshaw" remains, which are unique in China. The "Great Shang Civilization" exhibition area on the second floor is overflowing with genuine artifacts—bronze artifacts from the Fu Hao tomb are densely displayed, and the Simu Xin Ding is discreetly hidden behind a wall, almost missed. The "bronze hand-shaped object" (likely a prosthetic limb) from the Ya Chang tomb is only half the size of a normal person. The oracle bone inscriptions on the third floor are smaller than I imagined, but you can still see the strokes up close. The barbarity of the Shang Dynasty is blatantly displayed; the burial pits are filled with white bones, and the bronze yan (a ritual vessel for boiling human heads) is deliberately placed high, probably to avoid frightening children. I was terrified myself, let alone the children!!! A very enjoyable trip to Anyang. The divine bird descended and gave birth to the Shang Dynasty!
