Reviews: Melbourne Puffing Billy Steam Train + Penguin Island Day Tour [Visit two popular attractions in one day]
Guest User2025-08-18
Since it was a small group, the driver picked us up at the hotel on time. The small crowds made the experience very good. The steam train burned coal, and the smoke was a bit dirty. I was covered in fine coal dust when I returned, so I tried not to open my mouth when facing the wind. The penguins were cute, and you could see them up close on the boardwalk. The starry sky was also beautiful. I had already seen the zoo in Brisbane, so I didn't go. I felt that an hour was a bit tight for the zoo. I would like to praise the driver and tour guide, Banban, for his steady driving and also for teaching us some sightseeing tips.

Wonderful full day with Darren providing great knowledge about history of the Dandenong regions. Fun being on the Puffin Billy railway and the Animal Sanctuary was awesome and second to none. Absolute value for money and would commend others to give it a go. Gavin
Reviews: [January Special Offer] Melbourne Puffing Billy Steam Train + Phillip Island Penguin Island Day Trip
Guest User2025-12-22
I would call this the most perfect and comprehensive tour itinerary ever, packed with activities from morning till night! The steam train ride is definitely worthwhile and incredibly photogenic. The zoo has koalas and kangaroos; you can get up close to the kangaroos, and I even managed to take a once-in-a-lifetime photo with the albino penguin! The evening trip to Phillip Island featured incredibly blue waters and stunning sunset views. The afterglow was breathtaking, and seeing the little penguins returning to their nests was a truly magical experience. Overall, it exceeded my expectations!

If you have some free time in Melbourne, I recommend this itinerary 🌿 Start your healing journey by taking a train and viewing the vast fields 🌳 What I remember most about Maru Zoo is how the koalas sleep all day, and how the kangaroos lie down next to people... 🐨🦘 Finally, end your healing journey with a visit to Phillip Island, where you'll see penguins and their adorableness 🐧
Reviews: Melbourne: Yarra Valley Half-Day Wine Tour

Lovely tour! Very satisfied with our half day. The 3 wineries each had a different style, all with great quality wines. Guide was friendly and provided some interesting commentary on the road. Relatively small bus/ group size was also a positive.
Reviews: Melbourne: Yarra Valley Wine, Cider, Gin, Beer, & Choc Tour

We had an amazing day on the Yarra Valley wine tour with gin and chocolate tasting. From start to finish, everything was seamless, well organised, and genuinely enjoyable. The wineries were beautiful, the tastings were generous, and the gin and chocolate experience was a real highlight. Our tour guide, Matthew, was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and the perfect balance of professional and fun. He shared great insights about the region, kept the day running smoothly, and made sure everyone felt relaxed and included. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a stress-free, indulgent day out in the Yarra Valley. We’ll definitely be booking again!
