I bought the Mangrove Island + Mangrove Forest package; you absolutely must buy the package, otherwise going to the mangrove forest alone is too much of a hassle, requiring a 1.5-hour drive each way. The overall itinerary was well-organized, with door-to-door pick-up and drop-off.
Mangrove Island is beautiful and worth a visit.
I didn't see any proboscis monkeys at the mangrove forest, but there were many fireflies, and the guide was engaging, making for a pleasant experience.★

Remember to download whats app The tour guide will contact you the day before, and then you can rest assured to give it to him all day. We saw two types of monkeys and a large crocodile. We also saw a lot of fireflies, which was fantastic. Above all, the sunset was amazing. It was the best I've ever seen. The boat tour was a really great experience! The car ride was 2.5 hours each way, and it was quite shaky and painful. That was the only negative point. Overall, I would recommend this trip to others.Trip.com Picks
