▲ The stunning view along the coastline of the Japan Sea from Shakotan Peninsula in Hokkaido is also known as the deep blue Shakotan. Walking along the hiking trail of Cape Kamui, you can admire the exceptionally transparent deep blue waters while gazing at the Japan Sea. From the cliffs, you can enjoy a 300-degree panoramic view of the sea horizon, making it one of Hokkaido's most spectacular sights. Cape Kamui is closed every October for regular inspections. If the trail becomes inaccessible due to inspections, strong winds, or other unforeseen circumstances, the itinerary will be adjusted to visit the Cape Kamui observation deck instead. The stay at Cape Kamui will be shortened, and more time will be allocated for sightseeing in Otaru. Please follow the guide's instructions on the day.

▲ Head straight along Sakaimachi Street for about 10–15 minutes to reach an area filled with nostalgic buildings from the Meiji to early Showa periods, where you can soak up the retro atmosphere! When it comes to iconic shops in this area, "Kitaichi Glass" stands out. This shop repurposes warehouses from Hokkaido's pioneering era, divided into sections like the Glass Hall, Glass Outlet Hall, and Crystal Hall. Inside the dimly lit warehouses, glass and crystal pieces shimmer beautifully, creating a dreamlike space. Sakaimachi Street also features various charming shops and cafes housed in historic buildings, offering plenty of unique finds.
▲ Shiroi Koibito, a well-known souvenir brand in Hokkaido, has made Shiroi Koibito Park one of Sapporo's most popular attractions. From the history of chocolate to precious art collections, visitors can also preview the chocolate-making process of Shiroi Koibito. Here, you can not only experience snack-making, tour the factory, and learn about chocolate history, but the charm of Shiroi Koibito Park extends beyond indoor activities. The outdoor area is also well worth exploring. ※The admission ticket to Shiroi Koibito Park does not include factory tours.
▲ Located at the entrance of the Otaru Music Box Museum, the steam clock was crafted in 1977 and imported from Canada. It is one of only two remaining steam clocks in the world today. Standing 5.5m tall, the clock emits steam and occasionally makes a whistling sound. Beyond chiming on the hour, it plays a charming, simple melody every 15 minutes—a unique feature that draws crowds eager to capture photos.
