Despite our lateness, they were welcoming and lovely throughout the entire service. We left with photos and wonderful memories for my grandmother. Thank you to the whole team!

Reviews: Private Gourmet Tour : Halles Paul Bocuse Covered Market
Guest User2025-07-15
The Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse is incredible. It is a clean, modern, efficient enterprise that showcases the highest quality foods. And even better, we had Clarie as our food guide and she was extremely well organized and presents her material seamlessly. She is warm, witty, clever, and has so much knowledge. We loved how she was able to teach us so fascinating things while keeping things light and playful. It is one of the best food tours we have had, and we have had many. We highly recommend Claire and a visit to this incredible food market.

Reviews: Full Day Private Tour of Beaujolais by vintage Land Rover
Guest User2024-10-13
Insiders Experience was one of the most exceptional tours we have encountered. Having traveled the world we have taken many tours. I found Insiders Experience on trip advisor, but the tour listed there didn’t quite suit me – so I reached out directly, and Thomas responded quickly with a recommendation that was perfect. We personalized the Full Monty: Beaujolais Full day tour. A few days ahead Amelie, our tour guide, reached out to get our restaurant preferences to ensure we had a good lunch experience – which we absolutely did. She was an amazing guide having grown up in the region and seeming knowing everyone. After taking us for scenic views of the valley sprayed with grapes colored in red, yellow, and green as the fall weather approached, and some special places she pointed out, we stopped in a town for a coffee. There she picked up some meat and we all went and selected local cheeses from a cheese store for our pairings. Our French is rudimentary, and Amelie was so great at keeping us included in the conversations wherever we went. She even let us practice our French with her. The cheese was amazing – hint always chose the free-range goat cheese. We were now armed to visit the vintners.
We have done wine tours in California, Australia, New Zealand and now in France and this was by far the best wine tour. We went to multiple Crus in the Beaujolais region and learned how the soil and stone made each of the areas different providing different flavoring to the grapes. The diversity was amazing for such a small geographic region. It wasn’t just a tour guide talking and pointing at the vats and barrels and then headed to a crowded tasting room. It was just us and we tasted wine in all stages of the process: we listened to it fermenting in the barrels, saw the skins as they separate from the juices, and learned how hard a harvest season is for the small wine makers. Meeting and talking to the actual vintners whose families have been doing it for many generations and those who have come to the business recently to do what they love, made it so special.
Excellent Tour Guide, Excellent Tour, and Excellent Company.
