I really liked it, but it doesn't say anywhere here that you get a discount on site if you are up to and including 25 years old. You pay two euros for the entrance ticket!

We enjoyed Pompeii and our great guide with Salvador. Herculaneum was superb thanks to Alexander’s tips on what to see! Great transportation and lunch. Alexander was very informative and we highly recommend this day tour.

Due to rail travel from Sorrento to Herculaneum being restricted to two direct trains per day each way we were under time constraints regarding the amount of time we had in Herculaneum. Using the audio guides we were able to highlight the areas of specific interest to us and use our time there to see what really interested us. We were not restricted to other people’s interests, disabilities or a set tour etc. worked really well for us and provided plenty of information at each stop.

We enjoyed visiting Pompeii; it takes almost a whole day to see everything. If we were to do it again, we wouldn't go to Herculaneum; we found the visit less interesting and parking is difficult.


