It was great, I did the blue and purple routes in one day. I recommend taking two days to explore more and have more time to enjoy it; for me it was quite rushed, but it was the time I had.★

The original booking was reasonably priced at €63 per person, but we opted for the Fast Travel option on site. This cost us an additional €33 per person and involved a 45-minute wait. Despite this, the trip was worthwhile.★

Nathi was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. he gave a thorough history of how the townships came to be as well as providing more information about post apartheid South Africa. he is clearly well-liked and respected in this Township that he grew up in and I felt very safe while in his company. it was like I was welcomed into his community and his family. I highly recommend this tour. you won't regret it!★

We visited on 22nd January 2026. This tour is a must, if you want to explore all sides of South Africa, not just touristy stuff. We had Mike Zuma, he was absolutely brilliant. It's very humbling, to see what the people living in this town, have to do to survive. Word of advice, the guides prefer if you do NOT take books , and pencils etc, for children. They end up fighting over them, and he said they won't leave you alone. Best to make donations , especially in the nursery, as they rely on this to keep it running. Can't recommend this tour enough. Lots of walking!
