I'm a European exchange student living in Germany. Knowing that I could conveniently travel to other countries by train, I purchased a Eurail Pass. At the time, there was a promotional discount of about 20%, so I got it for about €100 less. I was very satisfied with the price. I could choose to use 15 days within two months, which was incredibly convenient. I highly recommend it.

Finn was an outstanding guide! Although these tours involve spending a lot of time on the bus, traveling through Scotland’s breathtaking landscapes makes every minute enjoyable. Finn made the entire journey truly engaging, entertaining us with local music (even giving us a short introduction to Scottish music, from traditional sounds to modern styles), fascinating historical anecdotes, and fun facts. Despite the extremely snowy day, the experience was wonderful. Maybe the snow added a magical atmosphere to some of the places we visited. I only wish we had had a bit more time at the Glenfinnan Viaduct and Loch Shiel, as the snow slowed us down considerably and we weren’t able to reach the viewpoint in time. That said, we still had a great time. Since there were only six of us that day, the tour felt more personal and flexible, and we even had the chance to stop at a couple of extra locations. An unforgettable experience!

His storytelling made the tour engaging from start to finish and you can really feel how passionate he is about what he does. Amazing tour with the Hairy Coo tour company. The guide was just amazing! Never have I ever met such knowledgeable person who can so utterly captivate with their storytelling abilities. I came to Scotland with very vague understanding of the Scottish history, especially considering the Jacobite history. After this tour I've finally gathered a lot of valuable information. Also this tour is considered the longest of day tours among others, so be prepared for it. However, you travel on a big comfortable bus and can easily observe the High Lands en route with a lot of stops for sightseeing in different locations. I absolutely recommend this tour and tour company.
