Top Experiences & Travel Essentials in Taipei

Taipei sits in a basin surrounded by mountains in the island’s north. As the lively capital of Taiwan, it's shaped by centuries of Chinese, Japanese, and local influences. Taipei weather is generally warm and humid, with subtropical rains in summer and milder, drier days in winter. From night markets to shopping districts, Taipei attractions cater to every kind of traveler. Dominating the skyline is Taipei 101, once the world’s tallest building, now home to the famous Taipei 101 Observatory, offering sweeping city views. For a quieter escape, the Taipei Zoo is recommended, offering a family-friendly look at wildlife.

Reviews: From Taipei: Thousand Island Lake and Pinglin Tea Plantation
Guest User2025-12-17
The tour was conducted in a small group of six participants. We received a warm welcome from our guide, Jenny. She was incredibly authentic, helpful, and friendly, and gave us a local perspective on South Taipei. Besides visiting Thousand Island Lake, learning about tea cultivation and processing, and participating in a tea ceremony, she shared some interesting stories about the city. Thank you so much, we had a wonderful time!

Reviews: 1-day tour to Taipei Palace Museum + Longshan Temple + Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall + Taipei 101
Guest User2025-04-08
Very satisfied! The tour guide is very professional and kind, and the introduction to each attraction is very in-depth and interesting, which gives me a deeper understanding of Taipei. The itinerary is very smooth, and the movement between the attractions is also very relaxed and comfortable. I especially like to taste food in Yongkang Street and feel the early historical atmosphere of Taiwan in Dihua Street. Every place has its unique charm, and the tour guide is also very good at mastering time and will not feel rushed. Very recommended to friends who come to Taipei for the first time or want to know more about Taipei culture!
