Things to do in Bashang

This grassland is highly recommended. We visited in autumn, and although it wasn't as golden, it's still worth a second visit. The grassland in spring is much greener, stretching as far as the eye can see like an oasis. While the birch forests are beautiful from afar, up close they're covered in horse manure—black and polluting, making the grassland smell and the experience unpleasant for tourists, completely masking the earthy aroma. We suggest that the horse owners pick up the manure to give tourists a better impression. Overall, it's a very beautiful environment and worth visiting. Be prepared for the cold; it gets just as cold, or even colder, at night.

If you're traveling with elderly people, you need to consider their physical condition. Walking the whole way can be tiring for those who aren't physically fit. There aren't many decent restaurants inside, and the food at the restaurants is just so-so, plus the prices are relatively high.

Once you arrive in Fengning, you must drive the Hundred-Mile Sky Road. I've been here before in the summer, and this National Day holiday I came again, and it was absolutely stunning. There were greens, purples, and mostly golden hues—it was breathtaking. The entire route was almost entirely paved, so even sedans could drive comfortably. A perfect score! I'll definitely come back next year.

The most suitable season for Bashang Grassland is from the end of June to the end of September. The air on the grassland is pure, there is little pollution, and it is also cool in summer. I was unlucky today. It was raining intermittently on Bashang. The sky was always overcast, and occasionally the sun poured down through the clouds, which was a different taste. I still felt cool wearing long sleeves, it is worthy of being a summer resort~

The scenery is particularly great. I caught up with the most beautiful time of the Colorful Forest. Off-road is also highly recommended. When playing the package project, the order was messed up. The staff arranged to take the sightseeing bus again for free, which is very humane.

The scenery at the entrance was absolutely stunning, truly a paradise on earth! Visiting in August, the weather was just right, neither too hot nor too cold – it was wonderful. I'll definitely come back again sometime. Seeing this place has completely lifted my spirits.

I stopped here on the way back from Ulan Butong. If you're coming specifically for this, it's not worth it. I recommend entering the scenic area around dusk to experience the breathtaking view of the stone carvings: "The sunset glows and wild geese fly together, the autumn waters blend seamlessly with the sky."
