"唐古拉"，藏语"高原上的山"，由于终年风雪交加，号称"风雪仓库"。唐古拉是青海和西藏的分界线，海拔5231米，山口处建有纪念碑及标志碑，是沿青藏公路进入西藏的必经之地，并是长江的发源地。这里是世界上海拔最高的公路。唐古拉山口是青海、西藏两省的天然分界线，视野开阔望得远。这一带是一片冻土，泥土层的水分长年结冰。山口天气极不稳定，即使夏天，公路也经常被大雪所封，冰雹、霜雪更是常见现象。此处空气含氧量只有海平面的六成，所以一般乘客路过唐古拉山口，会有明显的高原反应。唐古拉山口是此次旅行中的最高点,海拔5231米.当我们穿越这里的时候我的高原反应最轻,只是有点轻微的头痛,我的一位同事高反很严重说是整个脑袋就像四分五裂一样,后来还是候师傅拿出医用氧气瓶让她吸氧才有所缓解.只要一吸上氧气,头痛的感觉立马全消神清气爽,感觉有点像是在吸食毒品.
