大涌谷是箱根地区非常著名的观光景点，是大约40万年前箱根火山活动的所形成的火山口遗迹，这里空气里到处弥漫着硫化氢臭鸡蛋的味道，是非常特别的地貌。大涌谷的黑鸡蛋很有名，鸡蛋用温泉蒸煮，蛋壳变黑，黑鸡蛋的名字也由此而来。日本有个传说，吃一只黑鸡蛋可以延年益寿7年，当然，这是一个美好的传说～玉子茶屋里的鸡蛋一袋500日元，里面有5只鸡蛋，随袋附赠一袋盐。鸡蛋热腾腾的时候超级香，撒点盐很好吃，毕竟吃一个可以延7年寿，必须得多吃呀！店内还贴心地设置了可以站着剥鸡蛋的小桌子，方便大家趁热吃。玉子茶屋里还有很多特产，譬如黑面膜，黑面包干，黑玉子巧克力等，买了唐辛子炸饼（一种辣味调料）和黑面包干，面包干甜甜脆脆非常好吃，唐辛子炸饼微辣，开了一包瞬间就停不下来直接见底了（笑）她们家的巧克力冰淇淋也相当人气，这次去晚了没有买到，有点小遗憾。
