Shanghai Wanfo Pavillon Review

Came on June 11, 2019. Wanfo Pavilion is a large-scale nun's dojo in Shanghai, which has a history of more than 600 years. The current courtyard is built according to the north gate of Fengxian Ancient County (when Fengxian County was ruled in Fengcheng). After many renovations in recent modern times, the whole Wanfo Pavilion is very complete and is said to be the location of the Buddhist Academy. In addition to the Buddha, there are many historical relics in the Wanfo Pavilion. For example, the north side of the temple is the north wall and north gate of the ancient Fengxian County. It is magnificent and well preserved (or possibly restored) and worth seeing.

Shanghai Fengxian Wanfoge Temple, also known as Wanfoge Temple, is an ancient Ming temple built on the wall of an ancient city. The couplet in front of Daxiong Palace reads "Ten thousand Buddhas are Fengxian and virtuous and ten thousand Buddhas are fengxian, and all living beings are benevolent and good. The scenery in the temple is quiet, gentle, friendly and warm.

Traffic is inconvenient, but it is also a very famous religious place in the area. It is relatively empty. Maybe it is being repaired and constructed. Many nuns and practitioners have been seen. Wanfo Tower must go to worship, there are many small Buddha statues, do not know if there are 10,000, a strong lineup. There is a small section of the ancient city wall behind it, which was used for coastal defense before. It is suggested that we also visit it.
