San Carlo Theatre Review

The theatre was built in 1737 during the Boppang dynasty and has been 250 years since, 40 years before the Scala Opera. The theater has staged many operas by Baroque Napoli composers since ancient times, and witnessed the creation of Haydn, Gluk, Verdi, Puccini and others, and its orchestra seats were modified under Verdi's suggestion.

The San Carlo is one of the three major Italian opera houses, the oldest still in use in Europe. It looks like the simple theater is a lot of dry inside, but it is actually part of the palace.

The entire facility of the San Carlo Theatre, one of Naples' most famous buildings, is also very simple. The interior is very empty, there are many private rooms with good privacy, the interior decoration of the theater is also quite interesting, and it is very simple to enjoy the drama.

There are almost every day and an appointment is required.

Saint-Carlo Opera (Teatro San Carlo): built by King Charles of the Bourbon Dynasty in France in 1737. Opposite the shopping promenade of Umberto I, it takes about 20+ minutes to walk from Egg Castle. There was no performance on the night I arrived, so I didn't come in, just looked outside. The Opera San Carlo, one of the three major Italian opera houses, was built according to the will of Carlo Bourbon. The Opera San Carlo can accommodate more than 3,000 spectators at the same time, and is still in use.

This is one of the most shocking buildings I have ever seen. It fully demonstrates the rich and magnificent Naples dynasty. I think it is worth hiring a private guide to spend an hour or so visiting. We also visited the king's private booth.

The San Carlo Opera (Teatro di San Carlo), the oldest and still in use opera house in Europe, is listed as a World Heritage Site. The appearance is very flat, but it is said that the interior decoration is extremely luxurious and the sound effect is excellent. As a group tourist, we have no chance to see it. We still want to go in and visit it if we have the opportunity.
