Vienna City Hall is absolutely a popular place on the evening of the Summer Music Festival! It's quiet everywhere during the day and crowds are bubbling in the evening. People clash shoulders and eat, drink beer, chat, listen to music and enjoy life at the bar stall in front of the city hall. The concerts here are not live performances, but some of the classic plays of the past are shown on giant screens. It's like playing open-air movies in the family area of the courtyard in the eighties and nineties. It's very artistic.
