The exterior of the building is a rejuvenated Gothic style of the American Academy. Brick and wood structure. There is a tower seat in the southwest corner of the lobby. The tower is topped with a neon cross five meters high. It is a great view of People's Square in the night light. Because it is located on the edge of People's Square, there are many tourists, usually the first and second floors include the front hall, and even several attached small halls next to it are soon filled with people, very lively.

In Shanghai's Hankou Road Tibet Road, there is a red brick Gothic building. Muentang, formerly known as Muertang, is a historic Christian church. The church is famous in Shanghai and many tourists come here every holiday.
