Longyangxia Hydropower Station Review

Longyangxia Hydropower Station is 1684 kilometers from the birthplace of the Yellow River and 3376 kilometers from the mouth of the Yellow River. It is the first large-scale step-level power station in the upper reaches of the Yellow River. It is called the Yellow River "lead" power station. Longyangxia is located on the main current of the Yellow River between Gonghe County and Guide County in Qinghai Province. It is about 37 kilometers long and less than 100 meters wide. The Yellow River runs through the canyon from west to east, and the cliffs on both sides are steep, heavy and stacked, the river is narrow, and the water flow is rapid. The narrowest part is only about 30 meters. The relative height of both sides is about 200 meters, and the maximum can be up to 800 meters.
