est. bar Review

Visited quite some times whilst in Phnom Penh. Great atmosphere, nice (live) music, beers, good drinks and good food! Also clubs like vito and nova are next to it or across the street. Recommended!

est.bar is cornered up against club Nova on the ever evolving 214 street. I went knowing one of the best bar managers in Cambodia was involved and it didn't disappoint. While I expected the drinks to hit the mark it was the food that was unexpected. I had the Finnish meatballs accompanied with mash potatoes and I found the dish to be incredible. Possibly the best Scandinavian meatball I have ever had. The bar/restaurant is well designed and I loved the urban-styled layout. You could tell the staff was well trained and understood the importance of hospitality. est.bar also allows cigar smoking on the top level, making it a rare find.

There are tons of new venues opening around Phnom Penh - but this has to be my favorite. I first discovered this place - tucked behind lovely foliage on St 214 (near a small Brown's Coffee) - when they hosted a function for a large group. they somehow managed to give all ~100 of the attendees personal attention. I am pleased to say, now more than 6 months in business, they are still giving guests the same personal attention and keeping their menu varied and excellent. Check out their music venues for some performances hard to otherwise find in town. the acoustics upstairs are terrific.
